I love Total Drama Island! I think it's very funny and interesting. I am suprised at what they've allowed to be shown. Like when Owen got out of the hot tub and was completely naked (first episode I think), and they blurred out his er...part xD I mean yeah they had censorship and everything, but it was more than I thought they would show on Cartoon Network. lol I think that the Gwen and Trent romance is so cute!

Is CN reverting to the days where shows on TV were allowed to have sexual content for the little kiddies? XD

Oh, I hope so. I've been watching Freakazoid! lately (we just bought season one on DVD), and I really miss that humor that only older people get.

The comparison the old cartoons is absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion. I don't want my three and seven year old sisters watching this kind of stuff. Normally I'm in the opinion that the old cartoons were taken off the air for stupid reasons; because the jokes weren't offensive at all from my perspective. But Total Drama Island is not to be compared with old cartoons, it's just disgusting in some parts and extremely innapropriate for my munchkans at times.
The making out, the innuendo, the making out, the throwing up on screen (lolwut, just disgusting.), etc.
I just don't like it.

^ Hey, the innuendo excites us teens. XD I haven't seen any making out, considering that I've only seen one episode. But that's why they put the warning screen before the show even starts, although they only put it for dialogue and not the sexual crap.

Ugh, warnings aside. You can't seriously tell me this isn't targeted for a bigger audience than just teenagers. It appeals to children as well, for some reason, perhaps because it is on Cartoon Network? If they want to target a show for a more mature audience, then save it for Adult Swim.

Does anyone think that Heather is Azula sans the firebending?

It'd probably fit in at AS. XD

Exactly, lulz. I have nothing against the show itself other than the fact that younger kids think its ok to watch because it's on a children's network. Parents have the ultimate say in what their kids can or can't watch, of course, but my personal feelings on the matter are that the show should be saved for AS.

Shay that means you don't like many of the anime uncensored shows?

Well, it depends on the anime. Most are on AS for the violence and some language. The ones with little to no sexual content are on CN, like Total Drama Island. It's kind of weird, isn't it?

*Shrug* Maybe even a network directed toward teen to adult audiences other than AS. The N would even do nicely. I don't need to rant on a network it should be on, though. XD Carry on with the discussion.

Yeah, that's pretty odd. I agree it's obviously targeted for a higher age group than it's timeslot. They should play it a bit later for the older set, rather than at 7 p.m. when every kid runs to his or her TV set. I still watch it - I laugh at it - but Shay IS right. Kids shouldn't be watching that right off - though they may not get most of it.
Can't argue on the macking thing though, cuz Aang and Katara were really making out at the end of Avatar. I was like "Wow... that's like the greatest day of that kid's life. They're really going at it." XDDDD I'm horrible.
