No, I am not leaving. You'll have to try harder than that to get rid of me No today I have the grim, though somewhat meaningful, job of passing along a couple of messages to the rest of the forum. If you have yet to notice, GUG's name has been removed from the boards and Akash has lost his cool blue name. They have resigned. Life finally caught up to them, and they decided that it was time to move on. They will be missed. I'm thinking about doing something special for them, and perhaps Awa and Ti (if I can figure out how to reach her), so if you think you have some mad graphics skillz, please send me a PM. Akash: Yeah... I haven't made a post for probably months. I'm pretty sure you guys assumed that I left, but I still want to make it formal. Despite the rocky moments, quarrels, and other issues I encountered at the forum, I will never forget the great moments and all the fun we had. I absolutely loved serving the Avatar community and it's really a privilege that I could be a staff member at DH. I will miss you guys a lot. Actually, I've already been missing you all, which is why I occasionally come back and lurk. In case any of you are unsure as to who this is. He also goes by Pianist, and almost every single skin on this site was created by him. From the awsome backgrounds to the kick butt banners that adorn the top of the forum, down even to the little chaos that sit next to threads and buttons. He created most of it, with help from Jade with the chaos. For those of you who know him, then you already know how great of a guy he was. He was/is always helpful, ready to answer questions and get things done. The FAQ was almost single handedly created by him and his creative genious. A great friend and a wonderful admin, who I'm ashamed to say I didn't get to know nearly as well as I would have liked. He has done more for the forum in the shadows than I suspect most people would suspect. His loss weighs heavy on the forum, and we're all sad to see him go. So if anyone sees him lurking go ahead and send him a message to say wats up, and we miss him. Girlunderglass: Life takes some wicked twists and turns. I'm vewry calm and cool about this all and just want what will be best for my mother. My free time has dropped to nothing and I am going to have to resign from DH. In fact, I have no idea when I can get there, but I would appreciate it if you passed the message along for me. I hate leaving this way, but real life is calling and I need to answer. Now, this is going to seem more personal, and thats because in all honesty it really is for me (no offense Pianist ^^; . GUG has been around for probably as long as I have if not longer. She and I became mods at the same time, and then we became admins together. Whenever I needed help she was there for me, and I would like to think that worked both ways. She has been hands down my best friend on this forum for years, and so her actually leaving (demotion and all) is more than a bit hard on me. For those of you who were here way back in the day, you'll probably remember her as the Zutarian Ambassador in the RB during the Great RB wars. For something oh so slightly more recent she and Amira were the ones who spearheaded the RB discussions, though they were short lived they were great while they were around. The thing I'll always remember about her was when we both became admins. When you get promoted from mod to admin as a sort of introduction to administrating you are told to add your name to all the boards. Now that doesn't sound hard, and it really isn't, but it is time consuming. So GUG and I decided that we'd split the work fifty fifty and each do half the boards. We got on aim so that we could keep track of where the other person was and just started talking as we clicked our way into a new position on the boards. We just started talking about everything; the forum, our real lives, random stuff, you name it we talked about it. We must have talked for a few hours, long after we finished the work that we set out to do. From that point on whenever I needed someone to talk to or to bounce ideas off of I would just send her a message and I knew that I'd get her honest opinion out of it, and for me that means alot. From where I sit GUG was one of the greatest admin's that DH has ever known. She has been around forever, and even after battling surgery she came back to us because she missed us and missed helping out. DH was as much of her as she was of it, and when I say that her loss will be felt for a long time, I mean it in every respect. So this is what I ask of you, the members of DH, our friends. If there is any memory of either Akash/Pianist or GUG that sticks out, or that affected you, please please please share it. That way if they ever start looking around and find this thread, they'll know just how much they were loved and just how much their presence meant to everyone.

You're post is beautifully written Godhunter! Nicely done.
I won't go down the melodramatic road like you did though. But I do think it's sorry to see them leave. Although I've never spoken to them in person, their work speaks for itself. They've left a very positive note on DH, and it's a real loss to see them go.
Good luck in the future to both of you.

That was a wonderful post, GH These two were both such awesome members; I'm so sad to see them go. GUG was awesome, she was nice, supportive, and even though I didn't get to talk to her much, I know she was a really great person. Akash I didn't really know but he is very special to this community as well and I hope they know they will be missed terribly ;_;

That way if they ever start looking around and find this thread, they'll know just how much they were loved and just how much their presence meant to everyone. I don't think many realize how much work it is being a staffer. And how much these two staffers actually did. A big reason for that, as staffer a lot of work that is done never sees the main boards. All that hard work takes place behind the scenes, in PMs and in the staff boards. The things that just happen and you never find who did it. That's a hard working staffer behind that miracle , putting hours of their life into DH. Every staffer loves this board. And I guarantee you GUG and Askash do. So I would like everyone the next time a staffer dose something for you or helps you in some way, say thank you. Even just pm a staffer to say hey I appreciate you. To me at least the staff becomes part of DH. Every staffer leaving something of themselves here. Their influence is felt through out the board. We really never say goodbye because they are part of this forum and we need only look around to find them. Akash I would like to say thank you very much for all your hard work. This forum would be not nearly as attractive and professional looking without you. I'm sad I never got to say this to you but I hope your read this. Because I have always been thankful to have you on the staff. And I know many people would agree with me. I'm sure some of the staff has in passing wondered why I haven't said anything in Gugs resignation thread in the staff board. That is because I've had a hard time accepting it. First I would like to say Gug thank for everything you've done for the board and for me. I will never be able to repay the support, the help, and friendship you given to me. Gug is one of those amazing people who you feel like your talking to an old friend right away. I got to know Gug a little when she first came back from surgery and was recovering. She wasn't fully recovered and had to leave again. She again returned and I was extremely happy to see that she was ok. Gug was always there to lend a hand, or be the voice of reason. She was a great role model and just plain fun to talk to. She is someone I look up to and respect a great deal. I don't have as many memories as some, I've not been on the staff as long. There are none the less some memories that stick out to me. Most of you may have noticed the Avatar Fan site Olympics sub board was moved to the trash been like the avatar punkin carving contest sub board. We where trying to decide what to do with the AFO board. And I thought about having someone delete it. Well that seemed like a waste, so at the last minute I asked if Gug could move it to the Trash bin. What ensued was pm tag until we got in touch and it was moved instead of deleted. I was a really worried it would be deleted and I would have to explain to the members why I didn't ask for it to be archived it like the APC sub board. But when it was all said and done it made for a good laugh, mostly at my expense. I remember when GH posted pictures. Gran gran kept saying how hot GH was and that she wanted updated pictures posted or else. I jokingly called him hot for whatever reason, probably because I figured it would make good conversation. Gug was ready to start another forum ship.lol I was surprised as I was just being a jerk and Gug almost made me pay for it. Gug started the entire Growly X Horyo phenomenon. If your confused check the first page of the legendary board and read through Horyo's welcome thread. Gug was a driving force on this forum. She along with a few others are who I think of when ever the word Admin is mentioned. She truly went above and beyond what was required and she gave more than most. I only hope I can be half the staffer Gug was. I will miss Akash and Gug very much. Hopefully sometime they will find their way back to DH. But never the less they will always be remembered. Because they are as I've said part of this forum.

Aw, not these again. D: It's really sad to see more people leaving- especially those who have been here so long. Though I didn't know the two all too well myself, it's still saddening because those two were such a part of this forum and contributed so much. Even though they probably won't read this message I still want to give thanks to them. You both will be missed.

I'm probably one of the relatively few who can remember when the two of them were actually active. All I can say is that they were great staff members, great people, and they will be sorely missed.
EDIT: I feel the need to ask why Horyo isn't mentioned in this thread. He's still a member of DH, but he did resign.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G1FvlPakkUWell, I am sad to see these two guy, since Akash designed our skins, which are some of the best looking things I've seen on the web, and GUG was a great admin, and poster, and person. I wish them both the best.

Awww, GUG was the best. She wrote such beautiful fanfiction and was always so nice. I wish I could email her or something.
I hope they come and leave a word every once and a while, though, whenever they find the time. I LOVE YOU, GUG!!!!!
But now that we have so many mods leaving, we seriously need to think of getting some new ones. Most of our mods don't even come on anymore.

Godhunter, you are so sweet. If you need help with anything I would love to help you. I couldn't agree with you anymore, GUG and Akash have done so much for DH. I will miss them so much. They are both great people and I am glad to have met them. I wish them the best of luck where ever they may be.

EDIT: I feel the need to ask why Horyo isn't mentioned in this thread. He's still a member of DH, but he did resign. When I wrote this, didn't know about that yet >< Man, okay, well I've got something brewing behind the scenes currently that you'll see soon (hopefully) that will help alieviate your worries.
