So, who will it be this season? The first season it was Zhao, second season it was Jet (and possibly Suki). I guess someone else will bite the dust this season as well.

I would say Azula, but she has been seen for so long, developed as a character, and is a fan favorite so I do not consider her death to be very likely, though it's a 50/50 chance that she either dies, mysteriously vanishes in an incident which most likely killed her, or is imprisoned and never seen again. Ozai will die though, no doubt about it.

Although I would love to see Ozai or Azula(or both) die this season, I could honestly go without anyone dying. It'd kinda be cool for the bad guys to sit in a cell and rot, not to mention knowing that everythinbg they did is being undone, that in it's self would be torture.

well a death from a certain character specailly on where we are at right now...Can send shockwave from both storyline and real world. So not only do you ask who dies but how many...It is for certain that someone is going to pass away.

I also think Ozai will die. I mean one of the major reasons for season is to defeat the firelord and end the war. So he is gonna get killed sooner or later. As for the bad guys rotting in jail, I highly doubt that will happen (depends which bad guy we talking about), they will probably will get killed, executed, or they will be set free by an ally.

I can see Sokka dying. It would be horrible but so emotional and intense. I can just picture him dying in battle and seeing everyones reaction would be heart-wrenching.

I think either Ozai is going to die, or Zuko. But I always thought maybe some important characters will to. I can imagine Sokka, the brave warrior, but also Katara, who might sacrifice herself for Aang. (Or backwards)
It would make me cry if Iroh would die, he is too good for words. Or maybe he will die and Zuko would kill the person responsible for that.

With a heavy heart, I must vote Iroh. I really like the guy, he's the best adult character on the show in my opinion, but the way things are going . . . it's looking bad for him.

This show doesn't have the edge to kill off a main character, which is one of the reasons I don't think Azula or Iroh have a chance of dying. The only person that really has a chance of dying is Ozai, and maybe Combustion Man. Otherwise there will not be any character deaths this season; I'm sure of it. Even in defeat against Azula, the Kyoshi Warriors got to live. That really tells me alot about this show.

^Hehe, funny. Because in all honesty, I could see Aang dying. Avatar: The Last Airbender (to bite it). I could see Iroh dying as a catalyst to change Zuko's mind about the war and the importance of his 'family honor.' But I think I wouldn't mind Katara or Mai buying the farm at all

I actually think Mai might be the one to go--if those SDCC sketches are anything to go by. I mean, when I see a sketch of Azula looking truly upset (not just angry, but hurt) and Ty Lee sobbing on all fours... Well, see where I'm going with this.

I'd have to vote either Iroh or Ozai, maybe with Iroh doing some thing heroic and Ozai just getting beat up by Aang and friends

I voted for Iroh. Not that I want him to die. If the poll was about who I want to die ... there are several. But Iroh really seems to have the mark of death on him right now. He's so noble it's out of control. He's the perfect person to make the ultimate sacrifice. I hope I'm wrong and one of the others I'd like to see bite it does ... but I think I'm right.

I actually think Mai might be the one to go--if those SDCC sketches are anything to go by. I mean, when I see a sketch of Azula looking truly upset (not just angry, but hurt) and Ty Lee sobbing on all fours... From what we know of Azula, why would Mai's death hurt her? How or why would anyone's death hurt her? Too often, people mistakenly label Mai as the "emotionless" girl of the trio, but it's actually Azula that holds true to this trait. If anyone in the entire show has a shallow range of emotions -- somewhat of a schizoid, as it were -- it would be the Fire Princess. Her actions lack any warmth; any true semblance of feeling; and she shows no desire to change this. In contrast, Mai is simply bored. Get her around Zuko, and that does change! Azula does take sadistic pleasure in the pain/torment of others. Sociopaths ( of which we can accurately deem her ) have a very limited, narrow band of emotions, all on the negative spectrum. The "positive" traits they display are skin-deep; forced; and they lack the natural follow-through of a normal person. Let's say Azula does something "nice"... we can use examples from the show, if necessary. To us -- the audience -- it comes across as empty, deceitful, or driven by ulterior motives. Because it is. She is shallow; a user and abuser; a liar and a con-artist. Everything "nice" she's ever said and done was for her own nefarious purposes. She never meant anything by it. That said... what could possibly cause her to lose her carefully-controlled temper? If these pictures of her are to be taken in conjunction with Ty Lee, I've come up with only one possibility: betrayal. Azula looks like she's been wronged by someone. In a serious way. And Mai was absent from this slide reel, correct? These are the scenarios I've come up with. Ty Lee is crying, because... ...Azula ordered her to track down/maim/kill Mai. ...she's forced to choose her allegiances. Should be an easy decision, right? Mai is a true friend, whereas Azula... is not. But it's a bit more complicated than that, much to Ty Lee's chagrin. She fears Azula -- her excessive flattery, which has increased through the passage of time, testifies to this. Should she leave Azula, she risks the possibility of torture or death. On the other hand, Mai is her friend, and she wants to be with her... ...something bad did happen to Mai, and Azula is yelling at her for showing such "disgusting weakness". ...something bad did happen to Mai, and she was indirectly responsible. Azula is angry over the loss of an ally, because that's all Mai ever was: a useful ally. ...she herself made the decision to leave Azula. Mai is gone, too, and Azula has lost her task-force. Without them, her objectives become harder to achieve. Not only that, she'll be vulnerable on the Day of Black Sun. Ty Lee and Mai would be wonderful bodyguards during the eclipse. She could wind up dying -- a reality she's been forced to accept -- and she's furious. Or, perhaps she had sinister plans in mind for her "dear father", and her task-force was essential to their execution. At this point, based on Azula's composure and overall lack of emotional variation, all we can do is grasp at straws.
