My definition of stormbending? Well, from what I can tell (and remember at 9:30 in the morning), it's using waterbending and firebending together to make a storm. Clouds and lightning and such.
It's really an interesting picture in my head how 2 elements - 2 opposite elements nonetheless, who's people normally hate each other, can come together like that.
It's also some very Zutarian symbolism.
EDIT: Loved chapter 10. Ty Lee and Zuko's drugged speech especially.

Ooh, no! I'll help keep the Catacombs alive, too, when I get back. Cute comic find, Femble! And OFC, Zutara scenery and abstractness. Very nice. Yep, CA, I agree with you about how stormbending is kind of Zutara symbolism. It definitely shows how two opposing elements cam come together and create something even more powerful and wonderful. I will not say anything about Aang being unable to stormbend with Katara...

Ok, I'm off the topic of Stormbenders, but I found out something horrible...I'm going to miss the finale! I have a volleyball team camp that I'm going to that is on Friday and Saturday of that week! I am so mad! I'm going to miss all the discussions from those days and I'll have to watch it Saturday night when I get home. Ugh that really makes me mad! There's only one premiere of the big finale and I'm going to miss it! I have DVR, so I'll record it and watch it as soon as possible, but I wanted to see it the first time it's shown! >.< I had the camp marked on my calender for awhile, but after finding out the air dates for Avatar I kept forgetting to check if it would conflict with it. Just checked today, and it does...ugh!

Not a volleyball camp, a nerd camp. I'm not getting back until August 2, though. The forum (except for here, cause y'all are keeping it alive, right? ) will probably be totally dead by the time I get back. >.<

Ooo a nerd camp! Sounds fun!
I'll still be here to discuss with you all for sure! What else am I going to do with my life besides either SPAZZFOAMING for years to come, or wallowing in my tears about Kataang?

It will be fun! *nerd* Yay, I'm glad to have a late-discussion buddy. Ugh. I've been looking and looking for new Zutara art on dA, but I can't find any.

Wow, and I was mad about being gone! I'll be here for late discussions as well! I continue obsessing long after other people have gotten tired of it. I'm that way with a lot of things actually...

Ouch, yeah, my panic came after reading/remembering the dates the rest of Avatar is supposed to air. I didn't realize they'd air new episodes through Saturday, as my friends were starting to plan a trip to Chinatown in NYC that Friday or Saturday. Eek! On the brighter side, my birthday is the Monday after Avatar finishes. Okay dunno if that's a positive thing, but it does give me an excuse to host an Avatar viewing party that weekend! </rant>
<Zutara> Yes even after the series ends this thread will be sustained with ongoing discussion, mentions of open questions left after the finale, and lots and lots of Zutara fanfic/fanart!

That week I'll be sitting home watching at least 20 episodes a day with sporadic spazzfoamcry attacks. *loser* XD
There's already so much Zutara fanon stuff with not much canon evidence that Zutara will definitely last a long long time.
Madi- I'm the same way with obsessing a lot after most people don't care anymore. I have trouble letting go of things that were a part of my life for so long.

^Same. I'm still obsessing about Harry Potter. XD I think Zutara can last, whether we become canon or stay fanon in the end... we will live on!

I vow to post in the Catacombs until I die! XP I hate when people can move on from things so easily. I'm tearing up right now thinking of the moment I put down my Harry Potter book. One of my friends said the other day "I don't even care about HP anymore" and I started crying...... Stormbenders 11 quote “I liked the slides,” Katara said tartly.
“You like anything slippery,” Zuko said. Piandao fumbled his teacup, quickly caught it. “I mean, ice, water, custard,” Zuko added. “Things like that.”
“I suppose it’s true,” Katara said. She shot Mai her most smug look. “I like you, Zuko, and you’re a slippery character.”
Silence, then Azula’s sudden laughter. Beside her, Ty Lee tittered. Mai simply continued looking away. Her mother looked suitably scandalized. “Slippery,” Azula said, smiling. “I’ll have to tell Father about that one.”
“Please do,” Katara said. “I want everyone to know how I feel about Zuko, now.” Her eyes slid over to Piandao. “Everyone should know.”
I found these in felinoel's deviantart (he made a huge Avatar map): NINJA PIRATES AND PIRATE NINJAS! TOTAL ZUTARA!

Chapter 11 was too funny.
The ladder and the slippery thing made me crack up.

Thanks Madi. XD So my friend has just started watching Avatar, and she's really into it. She likes the idea of Zutara, but thinks she shouldn't ship it because she doesn't think it will be canon. How should I try and tell her that that isn't a reason not to ship something? I'm telling her that you don't have to ship what you think will happen, it should be what you WANT to happen, but she doesn't seem to get it.
