*... Personality/Interests: Aya is a bright student, but naturally on the shy side. Though not competitive, she enjoys physical challenges. She loves to read and write and often dreams of traveling. One of her favorite pastimes is to climb up onto the tallest buildings and gaze at the massive inner wall of Ba Sing Se, dreaming of adventure. She also enjoys cooking, a talent she learned from her mother, (a cook who worked in fancy tea shops in the city).
*... Abilities: Though her mother was a novice waterbender, Aya has no bending abilities, but is athletically prone, very agile on her feet without a fear of heights. She tends to get herself out of jams not by any particular experience or use of weapons, but by sheer-footedness and often times comical luck. She simply uses whatever is naturally about her to defend herself quite well. Aya has sharp eyesight, and can see a lot of things most people can't. Being the daughter of a female waterbender means that healing is in the family. She learned a lot about it from her mother, and keeps a bag of herbs and some salves with her.

Having never been outside the walls of city, Aya dreamed of traveling. And one day, Aya's mother discovered one of her uncles from the Water Tribe was still alive and they were making plans to re-unite.
But life soon drastically changed. A few days after the owner the Jasmine Dragon tea shop, where her mother worked as a cook and Aya occasionally helped out, mysteriously disappeared, the Fire Nation had invaded the impenetrable walls of Ba Sing Se. Her father, along with many other officials, had been arrested by the Dai Li during the coupe.
Shortly after when soldiers began to round up any known benders in the city, Aya and her mother attempted to flee. Her mother was caught, but Aya escaped through her quick footedness and agility.
And now, for the first time, Aya is alone and outside the walls of Ba Sing Se but with a goal. To find her uncle and find a way to free her mother and father.
*... Other: Aya received a glider imported from the Northern Air Temple for her last birthday. It's the same design as Aang's first glider, but the fabric is coral pink instead of orange. She also uses it as a weapon and trains herself to use it a lot.
