the most important character on the show now.
...So Aang saving the entire world and bringing balance is not as important as Zuko trying to decide whether or not he should leave daddy?
No, if that was the case, but apparently, it's not. Can't say more without spoiling ep 46.

I think Zuko is just as important as Aang. To avoid spoiling, all I'll say is "Balance".

Aang is definitely more of an interesting character right now. Zuko is just depressing to watch.

Aang is the most important character. The fate of the whole world rests on his shoulders. Zuko is also important also but only the fire nation depends on him.

No the world depends on Zuko as well. He needs to put the balance back in the FN so Aang can bring the balance back to the world. You can't have balance if one of the four nations is not in balance with itself.
Zuko's starting to get it big time. He's acting a bit more mature now and I like this. Sometimes even the most dignified people need to scream every now and then to get it out. He's so conflicted, now we know the real reason, give the boy a break. Now he's got just as much on his shoulders as Aang, if he chooses to go that route. Bringing balance to a nation unbalanced for so long ain't gonna be easy. Zuko's truely finding out who he is, this makes me happy.

I love Aang and Zuko both, but, right now, Zuko is too Emo for me. They're dragging it out too much. I mean, how many times has he said 'so much has changed,' etc? Boring. And for gods sake, shoot Maiko down, someone. I'm a Kataang, but I'd love to see some Zutara, just to get things moving!

^^They really are dragging it out, aren't they? It's gonna be a very quick split decision type thing which will be disappointing, but it's what I've been waiting for. He's already showing the signs, and I don't really think that Zuko will ever be emo-less. He's always gonna have that part of him. The emo-ness and angst is what we loved the most about him in the beginning, but they have gone a bit overboard with it. It'll tone down, but it's gonna be there. I'll adore him not matter what, and he wouldn't be Zuko without either.
Aang is still way to much of a kid, but it's adorable. They are doing alot of dragging with him as well, and it's getting tiresome.
Get the lead out guys!!!!! We want action, and out boys to move FORWARD. We're getting a bit bored here.

Zuko just whines and angsts about every little thing! I can't believe I actually said I thought he was mature!... More mature than Aang at least. But not now! Zuko is a whiny, selfish, immature, brat! If you've seen "Nightmares and Daydreams" (9th episode) you'll understand my annoyance with Zuko. He used to be so awesome in season one. Anyone who stood in his way of what he wanted was going to die! Now he just mopes and acts like a spoiled brat- albeit, he always kinda acted like a spoiled brat but now it is so much more apparent.

^^I don't know he seemed pretty mature at the end. And even throughout he didn't really throw a tantrum, just got mad and sulked. He didn't even yell as loud as usual. I think he's growing up, he's just doing it slowly. He had to get what he wanted for it to hit him hard, and now growing up is a must. I think we'll see a change in Zuko's maturity more and more. Remember they are dragging this out, so it's not gonna be an overnighter, why they feel they must torture the boy further is beyond me, but they are growing him up even so. In every eppie so far he's gotten a bit more mature, I think the trend will continue, even if we feel it's TOO SLOW.

The only thing that concerns me about them dragging on his depression, will his ending live up to all this hype? Aang is the main character so they will reserve the best ending for him. (Not to mention he deserves it because of all he has been through.) However, I don't know what is in store for Zuko. He is the only character in the story that is internally and externally screwed up. The only ending I see him coming to is death.

Zuko is okay in small doses. Too much angst is not good for the soul. Lately he's been kinda getting on my nerves. I don't like him being lovey-dovey with Mai, it doesn't fit either of their personalities. Then there's the whole I-just-want-my-father-to-love-me side. We all know it's never gonna happen, why can't he wise up? I realize that Zuko's ancestry is the source of all his internal conflict, but there is only so much I can take.
Aang on the other hand seems to have a much less predictable variety of moods. He can be happy, sad, angry, jealous, anything! Sure Zuko can do this, but Aang is much more convincing and seems to have different reasons behind each mood. Plus, 90% of the time Aang is a loveable compassionate kid. How can you not love that? And he's the Avatar. Period.
Aang FTW!!!!
