That's why I don't want it demographed for younger kids. I wanna know if they go along with chances Yeah if they could just push up the TV rating just by two notches....

How? I'm not in this conversation but I will explain anyway. Yue is the princess of the Northern Water Tribe, she has unique white hair which she received from the Moon Spirit saving her life as a baby, she is beautiful but unhappy as she is betrothed to a jerk but loves Sokka. And of course, she sacrifices her life to save her people while Sokka sadly watches and Yue becomes the new Moon Spirit. That is a lot of Mary Sue traits, but at least Yue has a personality to accompany these traits. She is likable and instead of making us roll our eyes at the corniness of her sacrifice, we can feel touched because she wasn't a bonafide Mary Sue and was instead a likable if not too-close-to-a-Mary-Sue person.

Yue, like most of the cast, has sue-like traits, but I can't deem her a sue. Esp. in comparison to Katara (I'm sorry, but come on...). Yue's story was rushed, which is why the execution of some of her plot points seemed forced and a bit off--but that's not exactly her fault. I blame the pacing.
Honestly, I've always wondered why they make at least one filler episode per season when they really don't have room for it.

I voted Ozai because, he's made out to be all big and bad but we haven't actually see him do anything to live up to this description. To me he's just there and not really doing anything. This most likely will change because over the season maybe we'll see more of him?

Wow, I'm surprised that so many people dislike Katara. I guess most people don't take kindly to Mary Sue-ish characters (or maybe they're all secretly Zukaangers).
As for me, I'd vote for that mayor guy from The Avatar Day.

You know, I never understood why people think Katara is a Mary-Sue. She has real flaws, real character development, makes mistakes, and yet tries to overcome them and struggles to be the best she can be.
So why do people hate her?
Is it because she's a great bender? What, so there's can't be such thing as a strong female character without them being Mary-Sues? Just because she's assertive and compassionate at once?
Huh, funny, I don't see people calling Iroh a Mary-Sue, even though he's powerful and compassionate and understanding. Why? Because he's male, and it is accepted that males should be powerful.
I'm not trying to sound ultra-feminist here, but the double standard just annoys me. Personally, I love Katara's character. She wasn't born at the level she was, she's had to work at it and she deserves it. Female characters don't have to be helpless to be believable.
I also adore Zuko, and can't see why so many people hate him either. Considering the difficult position he's been born into, I think his confusion and frustration is understandable, and he has done a fine job of overcoming it.
Then again, I love most of the characters from Avatar...
