Well here we go again with another film banned from a forgien country. This time it's a movie that kicks major Equus asinus, Indiana Jones. The most recent movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has been banned from airing on Russia screens. Below you could find the article. Well I guess America is truly the only free country there is when you think about it. >_< news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080523/film_nm/russia_indianajones_dc

I've read the article but you're wrong. The movie isn't banned in Russia. Only the communist party has asked for the ban but i can find nowhere that the movie is actually banned.

Wow, this just proves that Communism is a stupid belief. They're even more sensitive than the US and that's saying something.

I can understand why they would want to ban it though. Have you guys seen the movie? It makes communist Russia look pretty crazy

I just saw the movie today because I was golfing yesteday but it was very good. Raiders of The Lost Ark was better but I think this came second. Anyway if a country that big is upset over some of their communist party feeling hurt they should set their priorities straight.

Why can't some of these countries just live and let live? With everything?
Countries are always banning media that may make them look bad, or may cause a revolt against the government, or brings up crappy history concerning them, or may cause mass hysteria/moral panic.
I bet America would never ban a movie that showed how we lost at Saigon.
Then again, America is no better either, or else we'd all be smoking Cuban cigars right now.
