I laugh if the main character is going to be female...oh then there won't even be a action figure series lol You know I just rather they end it and end it well with the series...if you want a spin-off, then use the books...make more money and you get kids reading al la harry potter

The thing is, if the creators make a new series, they can make it just as amazing in my opinion. Of course some people will say "NO NEVER!" but I think that the creators have been geniuses with their material so far, what's to stop their creativity from continuing?

Horyo: Yeah, look how many years it took from the pilot to the finale (still forecoming.) With that much time, there are probably several ideas that they haven't used, or explored.
At the NY Comic-con, they said something like, "There are things we can do. There are things we can't do. That's all I'm going to say."
I hope Nick isn't going to bind them any further than they already have.
As to the original question, could making a movie of the animated series help it to live further, such as Transformers (even though it isn't 20 years down the road)? After 20 years, that is usualy a novelty factor though, people reminiscing their youth.
Like most things, it will ride into the sunset. I wish that it could have met its full potential. It just seems Nick treated it like a red-headed step-child. But, if it goes well and ends well, that can be the best possible outcome, regardless of the mis-marketing.
......yeah, where are the female action characters? Certainly not on the shelves!

I also heard the possibility of an Iroh spinoff. Last I heard, they were preparing to propose the idea to Nick. I myself am hoping for an Iroh series...

no, people just thought so because water, earth, fire and air.
i wish there would be a 4th season. what if the creators throw a curve ball in the finale and it turns out there will be a 4th season. (no book spoilers! i dont care if you already know what happens)

^It was already confirmed at the comic-con. There will not be a forth season. I haven't heard anything about the 3-hour specials though.

^^I don't think any are planned.
I think the best we can hope for is some flashbacks if they do something new, and if they love us enough.
