Blargh ;p
Like I said earlier, the last thing these guys need is romance to gum up the works. Nothing ruins a character like a romance.
These guys dating would be boring.
They're BUDDIES! Zuko and Sokka finally have a male comrad...neither of them have had that.
I am content.

But Aang has a crush on Sokka's sister; Sokka thought he was talking about Meng, so the conversation was less than successful for Aang. Besides, I'm sure there are some things about girls a 15-year-old boy wouldn't want to talk about with a 12-year-old monk, if you know what I mean.

There's still a pretty hefty gap between the minds of a 12 and 15 year old, though.
12-year-olds annoyed the bajeebus out of me when I was 15 ;p
I think it'd be great for Zuko and Sokka to be buddies with someone their own age.

Moving to character board. The RP boards are meant for romantic relationships.

I agree that Zuko really needs a friend (Mai doesn't count because she's a girlfriend, and that's different).
But I just can't picture him and Sokka being all chummy, maybe I'm wrong here but they're just too different. I mean Sokka's all goofy and extreme and incredibly open about his emotions. Zuko tends to be more reserved. I'd imagine he'd get irratated with Sokka, while Sokka will just be frustrated with him.

Zuko seems to be becoming friends with everyone these days. Seeing Zuko and Sokka together really made me happy, they got along great, proved they were both smart, helped each other, they just compliment each other perfectly. Zuko even gave Sokka the "don't ever quit" speech, which was cool. I really feel that these two could become the best of friends over time. I'd love to see more interaction between the two.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Part of what i loved most about TBR 1 and 2 was the interaction between Sokka and Zuko, and seeing them work together and become friends. One of the things that really gets to me about that episode (in a good, choking-up sort of way) is that Zuko was helping Sokka rescue a father who was actually worthy of his son's admiration and loyalty, and even tho Zuko never explicitely (sorry, spelling?) stated it, i think part of why he was so understanding about Sokka's desire to rescue Hakoda was that, well, he knows what it's like to be someone's "loyal son." I also loved the "don't ever quit" speech, the "Believe me--I get it" line about Sokka "regaining his honor", and...all in all that was such a wonderful episode (well, two episodes) for the friendship of these two, which i've been hoping to see. Hurray for male bonding! lol

I loved the don't ever quite speech!!!! Sokka: Maybe sometimes, its better to quite befor you fail Zuko: No, its not. Look Sokka, your going to fail alot before things work out... Sokka: Thats suppost to make me feel better... Zuko: Even though you'll probably fail over and over and over agian... Sokka: Seriously not helping... Zuko: You have to try everytime! You can't quite because your afraid you might fail... That is my favroite quote ever!!!!!! I love the Zukka friendship! It is tooo awesome! That is way TBR was my favorite episode! I also loved the sivler sand which thing!!!! So funny... But my favorite part was there flying experiance... The girlfriend talk... Sokka's I'm sure your uncle would be proud of you speech, Zuko saying fluffy! Lmao!!!! Sokka geting burned by the water! He had to stop himself from screaming... I found that so funny! Last part was Zuko's I'm never Happy comment! I loved that!!!!! Reason I love the friend ship is because they have so much in commen... I will give you one... They both have 14 year old sisters... They are both aperently never happy... Acording to The Seige of Thge north Sokka: I'm not happy... Katara: Yeah, but your never happy... And I already mentioned Zuko's I'm never happy line... They both wanted to restore honor... Commen line between them... I failed... (Zuko alone) (The boiling rock part one) They both let down people they loved... Errr, I thought of so many reasons before.. I suppose my mind has gone blank... What I'm saying is... I LOVE THIS FRIENDSHIP!!!!!!!!!

I never would have thought these two would ever even be civil to each other, let alone become friends, but I'm really enjoying watching the two of them slowly warm up to each other. I kept squeeing over how cute the two of them were together. The awkward balloon ride was adorable. They seem to accept each other, even if they don't always understand each other. I love how Zuko's trying to hard to atone and be accepted. I agree with everyone, he really needs a friend, and Sokka is a good friend to have. I also agree that after being surrounded by only women and children for months on end, it's nice that Sokka gets a guy his own age to hang with. You know. Male bonding and all that good stuff. One of my favorite Sokka/Zuko quotes: Sokka: My first girlfriend turned into the moon Zuko: That's rough, buddy I love how this does not seem to surprise Zuko in the least. He just kind of takes it in stride.

Yeah, tho he was there at the North poll when it happened, so I wonder if anywhere in his thoughts was, "Oh, so that's what was going on with the moon when I was fighting Zhao." Maybe not, but it's a theory i suppose. I guess he has seen some pretty surprising stuff, tho...
