Omg, marvle, -karma- when my hour's up! I was trying to figure out how a wedding in the avatarverse would go between two characters, and sine Avatar is heavily based on Chinese traditions, you've totally solved that problem for me! Oh, and on the subject of heaven and earth XD you should take a look at this. The authoress has something about that in there, plus, it's Taang/Zutara and Chinese weddings sound nice, the way you describe it, it seems pretty sacred ^^ I like how the third bow is to each other. LOL, Aang XD

I just remembered something. The bride's escort is not only to protect her from physical threats, bandits and the like, but also a deterrent against supernatural forces (But never works) as in legends and tales, demon kings loved to take brides. Now...who do we know that has spousal kleptomania? The Pon Far thing goes over one's head if one is not familiar with Star Trek. But the looks on a bunch of lust driven monks is funny and wrong at the same time. Has this been shown? woopyah.deviantart.com/art/Taang-piggyback-ride-82379585It's so simple in design but it gets the point across: Taang is sweet.

whoa, that sounds exactly like what happened at Kuruk's wedding! Ummi was the bride, and she had no escort, or her escort just didn't know how to protect her, and the demon aka Koh, stole her away. OMG! UmmixKohxKuruk love triangle!!!LOL, see above post XD no kidding about the art being simple, but this one is also pretty cute ^^

So does that mean Roku's wife had an escort at her wedding?
Speaking of weddings, I wonder what culture Roku's wedding was based off of?
As for Toph and Aang, well I think Toph will be fine even without the escorts as long as it's not an airal attack.

Hearing all this talk about a new preview video for episode 14 got me curious.
And so I watched it.
It was in Spanish.
Naturally, I was confused.
But I did see something that made me thank whatever Gods of Animation there were.
Suki is back.
I am happy.
That solves one third of the Taang problem.
The other two thirds are giving Taang some screen time and well...I'm sure you know what I'm getting at.
Then again this whole thing might blow up in our faces.
Suki might not like Sokka that way anymore or Sokka decides that he prefers younger girls.
Neither outcome is very appealing nor palatable.

kai, thats a cute find! I'm gonna look for more. XD Yeah I saw it too. Darn I must be semi-blind or something, I didn't see Toph. Or maybe they didn't show her for some reason. Suki looks rouge, hell yeah! Uhm I'm not sure about the taang problem, marvel. What is the problem btw?

Suki looked like Azula to me at first. As for Toph and Aang, they're MIA in the commercial. Hmm maybe that means something. XDDDD jk jk

Three parts to the Taang problem. Part 1: Lack of screentime. Understandable as the show pushes Kataang more. Part 2: Kataang itself. Part 3: Tokka. Now with Suki's return Part 3 is solved. Unless Sokka decides he prefers younger girls or if Suki no longer feels the same towards him. The latter seems more plausible because the former....well, is that the moral they want to convey? "So your girlfriend's been locked up against her will? Don't worry there's other younger fish in the sea." Really, would any animated series, not on Adult Swim, on HBO or from Japan, do this? Love the fanart Firefly. Karma in loads. Zuko and Sokka crack me up. The worst gift Toph can receive: A Rubik's Cube.

Yay! Suki lives!!! ^_^
And you are all right about the fortune cookies, there's nothing Chinese about them. They're an American invention.

It's not surprising. They say that most Chinese foods in America have been Americanized and they're not really Chinese food (at least not the same as the ones in China).

Funny. Just had some Americanized Chinese food. LoL. Who knows? Maybe it was ethnic. ^_^ True. There are many different Chinese dialect groups, each with their own cuisine. The Cantonese. The Hakka. The Hokkiens from the Fujian provinces. Suzhou cuisine. And not to mention to various tribes in the more rural areas of China. There's a joke saying Chinese people'll eat anything. Which is kinda true, just look at our Medicinal Halls. Well, I think it's safe to say Tokka will never come to fruition. zutarian-empire.deviantart.com/journal/Ignore the rest if you're not a Zut-Zut. (my pet name from Zutarians) Just read the Sokka part. Then again...they might pull a fast one on us and take Suki away... Oh the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. But for the time being, let me do my best Scott Cleverdon, Neil Ross and Mark Hamill impersonations and laugh as Carnage, The Green Goblin and the Joker. Three of Comic-dom's craziest lunatics. Yes that's how happy I am.
