so then you don't care if I don't give you credit? sweeet! (JK)
LOL, I've written more Sokkla than Taang, so right now Taang takes presedence (sp?) over Sokkla. yay.
as to your question...
I don't know, something in me says it'll be Katara herself, though as of right now, I can't see it on the show. but I'd love it to be her, might make me like her character just a little bit since S3 began.

Hey guys! I don't mean to interrupt this conversation about xcgirl08's new art piece. Which I totally love by the way. It is so fluffy. ;P But anyway, I came baring two screenshots from The Earth King which is incredibly crazy, but amazingly true! (Found at ASN. ) *laughs* Now, tell me my fellow Taangers. Why does Toph have ARROWS on both her hands?! That's so cool. Nice find.

I should really write something light hearted to balance out all this darkness.
This little slice of death is tied in to the previous piece.
-------------------------------------------------------
I will never understand mortals.
They are beneath me.
I, who am part of that which is eternal, look down upon humanity with disgust and distaste.
The whole stinking, squirming, fornicating herd of them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
“Ummi! Ummi! Let her go, Worm!”
“Power and Arrogance are such good bedfellows, don’t you think Avatar? It seems pretty crowded in that little igloo of yours. I’m sure you won’t miss her.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Cattle, is what they are.
Fodder.
------------------------------------------------------------------
“No! Ummi! Your face!”
“Mine now.”
------------------------------------------------------------------
They exist solely for my pleasure and amusement.
Like puppets, I have played them against each other.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
“Think about it Roku. We can share our nation’s prosperity with others.”
“No, Souzin. No. Abandon such ideas. Please, it would only lead to disaster.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Made them act out plays of death and betrayal on the Stage of Infinity.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
“Lady Ta Min! Lady Ta Min! We’re almost to the mainland!”
“Where is my husband?! Where is Roku?!”
“Look! Fire Lord Souzin’s dragon! It’s flying away from the island!”
“Roku….no….”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have perfected my art.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“Excellent Zuzu. Though the Avatar escaped, your aid in capturing our doddering Uncle will surely put you back in father’s good books. You’re a hero now. Aren’t you happy?”
“……Not really.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
But like any puppet master, what happens when the strings break?
What will be the ending of a play, when an actor no longer follows the script?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“Twinkles! Go! Just go!”
“Release her.”
“You should heed your own words, as well as hers. Did she not just tell you to leave?”
“I am not leaving without her.”
“They need you Aang! You have to beat the Fire Lord!”
“Yes, go do that Avatar. It is, after all, your duty. Leave her with me. I’ll keep her safe.”
“Get your claws off her.”
“She broke the rules of my domain, Avatar. She showed emotion. And what emotion indeed. Such delicious fear, scintillating pain and yes, the cream of the crop…Love. It is rather sweet in her case…it will be an acquired taste, I suppose.”
“Aaaah!”
“NO!”
“Yeesssss. Mine now.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And that was that.
The Avatar had lost the duel.
The blind earthbender’s soul was mine.
As was preordained.
As I had forwarned.
That was to be the end of it.
Alas, the script had been changed.
I was no longer pulling the strings.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Aang! What happened?! Are you alright?!”
“Aaaiiieee!”
“Katara?!”
“T...Toph…Oh Tui….Toph…”
“Aang! Aang! Look at me! What happened?!”
“Zuko! She’s not breathing! My healing isn’t working!”
"Sokka, keep an eye on Aang."
“Wait…where’s Aang?”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Events did not unfold as written.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
“This day marks the most glorious moment in Fire Nation history! At long last, the entire world is unified under one element! The strongest element! The Golden Age is upon us! And as is my divine right as Agni’s Chosen, I shall lead our nation into it!”
“All hail Lord Ozai! All hail Lord Ozai!”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recriminations abound.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
“What have you done? What vile scheme do you intend upon the mortal realm?”
“Your perversions have led to the destruction of the world!”
“You filthy lying worm! You have doomed us all!”
“Balance no longer exists. Avatar Aang has failed in his quest. You were the cause of it.”
“Yet, the Avatar Spirit has not found itself a new host. I simply gave the boy a test. He failed. Surely I am not to blame for the ineptitude of a single mortal boy. He is still alive and thus the Balance of the Four Elements still holds. Now leave my domain. I have tolerated your intrusion and abstained from taking your faces thus far. Do not test my patience.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Their fury and vehemence were not easily quelled.
Though the world remained spinning, hope had forsaken it.
The despair, the devastation, the lives left broken.
Such delicious agony.
I had thought my act of greed to be a blessing.
With the taking of one sightless soul, I could now reap the misery of an entire world.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Katara…take the children and go. Go, now!”
“I am not leaving you!”
“Mai’s leading the detachment here. Someone in the village sold us out. We…you need to leave!”
“I can fight with you if not please, Zuko, come with us.”
“I have to distract her. She might still hold some feelings for me that I can use. Please Katara, take the children and go. They can’t lose us both….Ack!”
“Sokka?!”
“So this is where you’ve been hiding? With this piece of flith?”
“Sokka? What are you…Why are you wearing a Fire Nation uniform?”
“Like the new threads? You know what the say, “When in the Fire Nation…” and all that. It’s been a while hasn’t it, Zuzu? Or should I call you brother-in-law? How long has it been? Hmmm? How long did you leave me to rot in that rat infested cell?”
“Sokka…we tried to rescue you. Please put Zuko down.”
“Why? Can’t the great crown prince defend himself anymore? What? Is having only one leg supposed to be his excuse?”
“Sokka…please…”
“Feh. Pathetic. Your sister’s right, Zuzu. You’re a disgrace. A hound that’s lost its bite. Time to put the dog to sleep then. Troopers! Purge the place! For your Princess.”
“NO!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wonderous, wonderous misery.
If anything, it is a drug to me and now I had a never ending supply of it.
But such things do not last.
A new Avatar was born.
Another chance for humanity to dig itself out of its grave.
Yet silence abound in the Spirit Realm.
Where was the previous Avatar then?
Should he not be pleading before me, to allow him into the fields of Paradise to be with his beloved Earthbender?
A most curious conundrum.
One that was answered….with the destruction of the Great Library.
The Owl’s lair was completely destroyed. The old bird himself hung from the rafters, bloody and wings spread, dangling from chains forged by mystical means.
Like a meat puppet.
The human spirit that resided with the old bird could only utter one single name over and over again when questioned.
Aang.
Whispers and hushed fears spread like wildfire.
Was the former Avatar visiting his vengeance on those that slighted him?
If so, then his first port of call would be the mortal realm.
Why here?
Another riddle soon answered…by the deaths of the Ocean and Moon Spirits.
The boy had gone back to the mortal realm and simply taken a fish out of water.
Yue’s calls for sanity and reasoning fell on her former friend’s deaf ears as the Ocean Spirits mortal form flopped on the ground helplessly.
When the fish expired, the Moon sank as well, for are they not linked?
Avatars from all ages went forth to reason with the boy, stop him if necessary.
Their words were as useless as their defense for as human spirits they were powerless in this realm.
The boy had learned how to replicate and retain the power of the Avatar Spirit. Though a new Avatar had been born, the boy retained a twisted dark spark of it within himself.
A seed of darkness.
One that I had planted.
If not for the alien sensation in my body, I would appreciate my handiwork.
He was not seeking only vengeance.
No.
He was seeking the End of All Things.
From the Great Library, he discovered that the concept of balance did not stop at the boundaries of the mortal world.
No. For the Spirit World to exist so must the Mortal Realm.
And now he has set out to destroy each and every last one of us.
Those who would allow his beloved to be taken from him.
Those who would deem it part of his destiny to suffer such a loss.
Now we look upon a man fighting that destiny to the last bitter end.
He has come for me.
I who started this chain of tragic events.
I who he reviles the most.
I who have held his beloved captive for years.
I see the figure, shrouded in drab grey robes, blackened with the life essences of his spiritual victims.
Perhaps, I may yet defeat him.
Here in my own realm, my powers are unlimited. He all but needs to express the faintest scrap of emotion and he is mine…along with the power of his kills.
He speaks, voice hollow, echoing.
He speaks of my death not surrender but my destruction.
I taunt him, would he enjoy the moments as my existence fades?
Searing, blistering pain!
My front legs!
They have been ripped off!
How can this be?!
How can one such as I, the master of Pain, feel such writhing agony?
I have other methods to deal with this cur…
“Twinkles! Stop! Don’t hurt me!”
He would not dare….AAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGGHH!
No!
No!
My face!
His touch burns like venomous acid!
His fingers dig beneath my skin!
He has torn his beloved’s face off my body!
The blinding pain!
I now realize what the strange sensation is.
It is fear.
It is the sound of a broken man as he weeps, clutching the blood stained features of his beloved’s face to his chest.
It is the deathly echo in his voice as he mutters the last words I shall ever hear…
“Mine now.”
The End.

marvel, you should really compile all these Koh-Aang drabbles into a story or something. Really, I think it would come out really good, and I would love to read it. It already looks like you have an outline, why not go the next step and make it into a story?

That would be the last story for a while.
I've got other things to attend to.
There really isn't much left to tell for that 'Aang Destroys the World' theme.
I've already written the ending for it on the previous page.
All that's left to fit in is Sokka and Suki's tragedy aka Kaibasgirl's P.O.W Sokkla story, Zuko and Katara's lives as they live on the constant run from Ozai and the points of view of the general populace under Fire Nation oppression followed by the horror of living in a world that's slowly destroying itself.
I guess that is a lot to write...
But still, I really don't have the time for it anymore.
I do recall Kaibasgirl 'stealing' the idea to write though.

aw, does that mean you're not going to be on for a while, marvel? LOL. The only thing I'm 'stealing' is the idea of Aang becoming Koh. and I'm going to credit you, of course, because I would never have thought of such a concept. but really, if you have time, you should write it up. no one would be able to write it like you do, and I'd love to see you turning this into a story. it's really gold.

I'll still be around. Just won't be taking time to write any stories or skits. Aang doesn't take over Koh's job per se. Aang destroys Koh, along with all the other Spirits. The concept is that niether world can function without the other. Without the spirits of nature like Yue to run things, the mortal world is thrown into chaos. Aang doesn't care anymore, not after Koh takes Toph's face. Aang calls himself the Soul Collector because he's been killing Spirits, and the occasional mortal that gets in his way. In the above story from Koh's point of view I had wanted to describe Aang as a walking corpse with a dead expression that Koh could not work against. I wrote that Aang rips off Koh's front legs and tears Toph's face right off Koh's body and ended it there. What I almost wrote down was Aang EATING Koh to get to Toph's soul. I used a concept from Highlander, where an Immortal takes the power of another by decapitating his opponent. In the story above I implied that with every Spirit destroyed Aang gets more powerful which ties back to the story on the previous page where Aang is the only being left in the Spirit World. The story on the previous page implies that Aang has completed his vengeance on the Spirits and is letting the mortal world decay, hence the appearance of human resistance in the new female Avatar from the Water Tribes. The new Avatar is not related to Sokka or Katara in anyway. What the humans do not realise that Aang now contains all the spiritual energy, from his murderous exploits of the other spirits, destroying him will finally end the Spirit World. Aang may be letting the world destroy itself, but he's the only thing keeping it in existence. The humans have no real choice. Live in a apocalyptic world or not at all. Aang isn't evil...he just doesn't care anymore. Effects of the spirits destruction can be seen in the benders most easily. Firebenders either lose their abilities, which is the best case scenario, or badly in Ozai's case where in the middle of a speech he begins to burn up. He falls screaming from the tower apex. Azula doesn't get off that easily, she survives her lighting backfire, her body is one big burn. Her life is agony. Zuko loses a leg in the war against the Fire Nation and he dies by Sokka's hand a year before Aang kills Agni which triggers the Fire Benders' powers to go haywire. Katara managed to escape with Zuko and a few others after the final battle against Ozai went belly up. They had two children. Both children were killed by their Uncle Sokka along with their father. Mai kills Katara shortly after. Earthbenders lose control of their powers, causing terrible earthquakes. The Earth King is forced to hunt them down and kill them before they cause anymore damage. Water Benders lose their abilities completely. And with the deaths of Yue and her counterpart, the Ocean Spirit, they are unable to hold back the freak tidal waves that occur. The Airbenders went extinct when Aang killed himself, in order to enter Wan Shi Tong's library as a spirit to learn the dark arts. The Avatar's powers are linked to the Avatar Spirit, the only other spirit left in existence other than Aang, so she isn't affected by the loss of the elemental spirits that much. She does struggle to master them as no one else can bend anymore. Those that are born benders die on birth.

It's supposed to be the end of the Age of Benders.
My final battle has Aang finally die.
The Avatar Spirit is the last source of spiritual and elemental power. It leaves it's host, the female Water Tribe Avatar, and dissipates around the world to stabilize it.
The world slowly heals but bending is now a thing of legend. Humanity turns to science and technology.
Eventually, the result is similar to our world.
But I didn't like that idea.
Too happy.
Better to just let them realise that killing Aang would destroy the world forever, so they don't and they live like Morlocks for the rest of eternity.
The pairs that would have driven the emotional content are:
Aang and Toph: They start out as usual. Innocent, cute, fluffy. Until Koh makes his move. Then the theme becomes rage and vengeance on Aang part while on Toph's side it's now despair and disappointment in Aang as she has to watch him become a monster through Koh's eyes. Aang is plagued by Toph's pain and hurt towards him at the end as he sits on a throne over looking a dying world.
Sokka and Suki: They would have been the most graphic couple. In terms of their captivity by Azula. Imagine the worst prison story you've heard. Multiple that by a 1000.
Zuko and Katara: The lucky ones...to an extent. Managing to salvage a somewhat normal life before their family's untimely demise. By Sokka no less.
Sokka and Azula: The reason why he's flying the banner of the Fire Nation. She got her hooks in him while in prison. Sokka kills her eventually.
Ironic, the non bender of the main cast survives and dies of old age.
The primary villian is in fact Koh. He's been manipulating humanity for his own sick amusement for eons and now the jokes on him and the other spirits as Aang deems them guilty of Toph's death as well since they would not help him rescue her.
For the mortal side of the story, Azula would have been the main villain.
