Hm...that wouldn't explain why she kept all the Kyoshi Warriors alive. Regardless if it's a kid's show or not, they could have hinted at it. They hinted at Ursa killing Azulon pretty well, and besides, Avatar's not afraid to push their limits. I don't think she was lying. I'm pretty sure Suki's alive. Hinting at murder. Fine. Actually showing the murder. Not fine. That's censorship for you. I think she's alive too. But Azula's word cannot be trusted. She maybe lying, she maybe not. That's problem. And who said she kept all of them alive? She could have just kept Suki. When you take a hunting trophy you usually take the most prestigous kill. What i fear is that Azula wasn't lying about breaking Suki's spirit. Suki might be damaged goods. And from a selfish Taanger's point, that's not good. However I do have hope. What if Suki was locked up in the same tower prison as Iroh? When the Iroh-nator busted out, maybe he found her. Two new fan arts! lengtu.deviantart.com/art/taang-again-71121870lengtu.deviantart.com/art/taang-71070745

But who said it was Azula who broke Suki's spirit? I believe her words were "...until she just gave up."
That's saying that Suki herself lost hope, not because of Azula. And, let's face it, the girl's stuck in prison for nearly six months, yeah, I'd lose hope that my b/f even cares about me too.
I don't think Azula's lying for the main reason that Suki hasn't been mentioned for the last who-knows-how-many episodes, so when we finally get a mention of her, the writer's won't be so cruel as to have Azula lie about it.
Besides, the truth always hurts more.
And, I think she kept all of them alive. Or maybe she just took Suki and left the rest of them to die, without actually killing them. I just don't think she ever killed anyone aside from Aang. She's sadistic, but she doesn't like to do the dirty work unless she has to.

Mortally wounding a person and leaving them to die is still killing. And yes you're right. Azula would not kill a chained prisoner herself. She's the type who likes to watch. And torment. She would most probably have gone down to the prisons just to stand there and watch Suki. Doesn't even say a thing. Just watches Suki as she yells and screams at her. About how Sokka's coming and that Azula's getting her come uppance. Azula keeps quiet. Just smirks. As if saying, "You keep telling yourself that." Day in, day out. Suki yells, Azula just smirks. Until finally. Suki doesn't yell anymore. Azula still smirks. Just being present is enough. Azula's constant presence told Suki one important thing. Sokka's still not here. Then it became, Sokka's not coming. Till finally, Sokka....why?

I...don't think they were mortally wounded. Mai and Ty Lee don't seem the kind to like to kill. Ty Lee blocked their chii so they can't move, and Mai pinned them against a tree without actually hurting them.
If Azula were to actually wound them, I don't think Ty Lee would still be fangirling her like she does, and Mai...hm...I'm not sure about her.
Besides, without their leader, what could the other Kyoshi warriors do? They're out in the middle of nowhere, and they just got totally pwned by three girls. It doesn't do much to lift their moral.
I can see her doing that to Suki, but then again, I see her going more like, once a month or something, not every day. I think she had Suki carted off to the FN after she stole her clothes, and there was a long span of time between that and when they finally got back to the FN.
That was plenty of time for Suki to lose hope herself, and when Azula shows up so many months later, and Sokka still hasn't come for her, that's what sort of tips it.

Thing is where did she find the manpower to ship Suki and her crew to the Fire Nation? It was just the three of them. Oh I can see Mai killing. She seems detached enough. Ty Lee. In my twisted little mind, she kills. And smiles innocently about it. "I'm sorry for killing you. Maybe you'll get a better life when you re-incarnate. Maybe we'll be friends!" Azula manipulates people, I don't think manipulating Ty Lee to do what she wants and look past the implications of those things takes a rocket scientist. We're getting off the Taang topic. Let's get back to that shall we?

It was just the three of them going after the Avatar. When Azula first appeared, she had the backing of the entire Imprial Army. She only chose to ditch them and go with Mai and Ty Lee because that would make hunting the Avatar and her brother and uncle more efficient and easier.
But the army was still there at her beck and call when she needed them, because, as we see, Li and Lo were the ones to herald in their coming back from Ba Sing Se. Also, they weren't that far away from Omashu, which was taken over by the FN. And the drill, that was FN technology right there, she had soldiers with her when they tried to break through the outer wall in Ba Sing Se.
My point, it didn't matter that it was just the three of them, they could get back up whenever they needed to.
Mai...I don't see her killing unless she had a really good reason to. What would be the point? When she caught Sokka and Katara, she was all like, "Victory is boring". If catching your prey is boring for her, then killing would be even more bothersome.
Ty Lee...LOL. That makes me laugh. But when I think of her hurting another person, I just think of the quote "It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt". She's not as oblivious as she seems, she showed as much in "The Beach".
Yes, Azula manipulates people, but I don't see her as a murderer. Sadistic, cruel, laughs at you when you fall, but not a murderer. Not unless her own life was in danger, I don't think she'd bother with the messy-ness of killing, but that's just my own personal opinion.

Like I said, she watches.
She's a royal why should she sully her hands with a lowly execution?
Anyway, notice that now the Gaang's on the run, Katara has boys from every nation on her case?
Aang and Haru, we know why they're on her case.
Zuko...we'll see.
Sokka, well...someone's got to keep the others away from his baby sister right?
Wonder if Toph'll get jealous?

Almost all Taang fanart is adorable with a few dramatic ones here and there.
Zutara fanart is more dramatic with a few humourous here and there.
Tokka fanart...I can't look at those. Unless the art's really good. Can't not look if it's that good.
Sokkla fanart. Almost always humourous. Be a shame not to look.
Kataang fanart...no comment.
Sukka fanart....don't see much of these either. Not that I don't want too. Just can't find'em.

Zutara fanart humour? Most Zutara fanarts I see are sensual or angsty.

Zutara fanart humour? Most Zutara fanarts I see are sensual or angsty. Like I said, there are some funny ones. But it's mostly drama and such. Toph should change their nicknames and call them BOTH Drama Queens. Little ditty I just thought of, Taang just makes you hug yourself and Sokkla makes you sigh, Zutara's full of angsty sexiness, Tragic Sukka makes you cry. Shippings are like crack you see, They bring a grin to me, But what I never want to witness, is Iroh, Lo and Li. Oh Fan Artists almighty! Please have mercy on me.

Rofl! Love the poem, the eight line made me laugh!
The art is cute, btw, I just wish there were more sensual Taang pictures like with Zutara.

That's the appeal of Taang I suppose.
Innocent and cute.
With the possiblity of becoming sensual over time along with extenuating circumstances. *Coughswamptheorycough*
With most other pairings it's "BOOM! SEX!"
