The special edition DVDs I got had him on the front flaps. *swoon* I heard that waaaay back in the day, Harris almost got to play Commodus in another movie but he resigned the part to someone else. (irony!) The guy was pretty old so..... Oh yes!!! with one of my copies I got a book and it has lots of him in there, lots of fun to gork look at Yes Richard was meant to play, of all characters, Commodus in the film "The Fall Of The Roman Empire", I think it's a great little fact...lol, he left the part only to end up playing his father later in life. Alec Guinness was the one who played Marcus Aurelius in it.

You got a book? Me wants eet!!!!! *virtual steal*
Not sure who Alec Guinness was, but I found it funny that Harris played the father when he was almost the son.
I also found it funny that the MTV awards nominated Gladiator for best fight and best line in a movie. The line was, "It vexes me. I am terribly vexed." - Commodus
XDXDXD I would've nominated, "I shall hold them to my bosom and embrace them tightly!!"

Oh yes I love that book like mad, it’s only a small thing but there is a bigger one that goes with the film, I have been trying to get it for years but it’s like trying to get blood from a stone over here. Alec Guinness who is best know for playing Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars trilogy, a real screen legend…lol. Oh yes I LOVE that line in the film, I think Commodus not only had the best looks but he also had the best lines !!!

Oooh.... A book companion? *ish interested*
Okay, now I think I remember him.... Now that you mention Star Wars, his name rings a bell.
I know!! His lines made him look like such a bastard, though (which he was).

It's quite hard to come across, I found it once at a library when I was doing research for High School on the film but my book store could not get it in for me, I still really want it. lol well know him, just lots of people don't remember who he is unless someone tell ya he was in Star Wars. He was a lovable arse, then looks helped him lots to...hehe!!!

I don't have a card either. I borrow credit cards!! It's hard to find decent Gladiator fanart. I actually started drawing a Lucius fanart a while back but I haven't gotten around to finishing it.

Yeah, I didn't draw it BTW. That's why the fanart is good. XD
I know, all the cool people died!!! Except for Juba. I LURVE JUBA!!!!! ^^ But I'm kinda glad because sequels totally kill everything. I've seen very few decent sequels.

LMAO yea it’s so dang hard to make a really good sequel, you have to try so hard to live up to the first film which most of the time can be a mission and a half. I did read ages ago that they were gonna make a second Gladiator but nothing ever came from it, it would be so hard to follow up, I will be MORE then happy if the just keep it the way it is. And I agree with admirality, there really does need to be so many more Roman films out there, with the technology we have now for film making you could it just mind blowing, just look at 300, other then the 300 very hot half naked guys , it was so stunning. Same with Egyptian films, I’m not happy about the new Mummy film, they should of kept it Egyptian, where it’s roots where. There is so much Roman history that could be covered; I did hear that they are making a film from the TV show Rome, I’m really looking forward to seeing how that turns out, apparently everyone that was not killed is coming back *gets ready to gork at Maecenas ;D!!!*

Yeah, I remember that they were considering a second movie but everyone kind of died, so.... I like it at one movie. At least they made it a 3 hour+ movie to enjoy.
I really didn't see what was so great about 300. Nice effects and camera work but I like it when the movies have more historically accurate stuff. For Gladiator, they did tons of research to get the clothing and the cities right. I thought 300 was more of someone's weird twist of Sparta. If they really did run around dressed like that, then no wonder they all died. No armor!! XDXDXD
