Bingo. XD At least for me. I'm currently obsessed with Death Note and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. ^_^;;;
See?
Another example is the Raven and Beast Boy Shippers United forum. Otherwise known as
RBSU. We started out as a fan forum for the Teen Titans cartoon when we were persecuted at the TitansGo.net forum for shipping Raven/Beast Boy, or Raveast.
When the show ended, we had already shifted most of our focus to the Teen Titans Comicverse over at DC, whereas TitansGo and others had not. We had also developed somewhat of a Clubby atmosphere where we were all pals and could talk about our lives if we wished.
OOH!
Look what I found!!!Oh all right, you talked me into it. And thanks for the link by the way! I'll look at that later.
Okay, my first idea is this: What if Pan Ding gives a trial for each Avatar to endure? The story would essentially be a collection of interconnected one-shots for the latest cycle.
For Kyoshi: It's near the end of her life, and she's on the Titanic of Avatar(Newest/Largest Passenger ship of the day, they say it's unsinkable, it sinks), and since a lot of people are saying that even 'the Spirits themselves' couldn't sink the ship, Pan Ding decideds to test the BLasphemy, and point and laugh.
Kyoshi's trial is whether or not she can just stand by and let the Great Spirits-her equals-do their job. (She passess... Barely).
For Roku: Basically what we saw in
The Avatar and the Fire Lord when Sozin started taking lands.
Roku's trial is whether or not he can/will do all that is neccesary in his Authority as Avatar to ensure peace. (He-as we know-fails. Misserably)
Aang: Basically what I described on the last page: non-bending Earth Kingdom Terrorists are using Kiddnaping and Murder to disrupted the Fire Colonies, and most of all of them are only going through with it all is because they
know that Aang'll do whatever it takes to
not kill them. But if he were to even kill
one, they would all stop.
The Trial: Aang has to kill.
He fails, but Pan Ding forces him into a nervous breakdown after killing #2 just by talking to him. As he would say:
"Roku's act of mercy to ONE man cost the lives of over two BILLION men, women, and chilren over the course of a decades long war. How many innocent lives are you willing to sacrifice so that your hands may remain clean Avatar? How many people have to die before you up the anttie?"Fortunatly Pan gets info to the leaders of the world of who's who, and where their next targets are, and they all work together to wipe them out without the help of the Avatar.
(How's that Marvel?).
And finally, we have the next Water Avatar, a Northern Water Tribeswoman named Kya(Toph/Avesa Spirit is reincarnated in either the current Fire Lord/Crown Prince, or a sibling).
Her trial is basically based on
The Dark Knight: An anarchaic Anti-Social Mad Man killing in Ba Sing Se who wants to discredit the Avatar, and get the Goverment and the Public to disown and reject the Avatar-an unseen side-effect of Aang taking away Ozai's fire perhaps?
Now this time, the Trial is for Kya to
not kill the Anarchist. Granted, she's like Katara and it's just not in her character, but she comes
dangerously close.
For idea two, it's What If Pan Ding was with the Gaang in the show.
In my Fanon,
when Pan Ding is punished for starting the War-by doing nothing to prevent it-his powers are stripped and he's forced to watch. Here, he's still stripped-so that he looks like his Ming Yun self, which looks normal-but hi's imprisoned with Aang so that he may 'protect' him.
I'm not all that interested in what would be changed-asside from ships-so much as how they would interact, what with Pan Ding/Ming Yun's tendency to make wise guy remarks and being
generallly a
total A-Hole.
And example:
Katara: Ming Yun! What are always so hard on Aang?! He has
enough to handle trying to master the Elements before the Comet Arrives without you always nagging on him!
Ming Yun: Well, usually I would amuse myself with the ruining of criminals lives and/or torturing them for hours on end with agonizing mutilations until they cried out to their patron spirits to grant them mercy, and then teasing them with false hope with the assumed black oblivion that is Death before casting their immortal souls into the eternal Hellfires that burn but do not consume.
But sense that option is no longer available, I must amuse myself with pointing out all the logical fallicies of a twelve year-old boy-Avatar with a warped sense of reality and how it works until he cries when we reach the ultimate nonsensical conclusion of said arguements as he goes running to you, his Mother-Lover, where you coddle him like the infantile Man-Child I see him to be.
Katara: ....
*eyetwitch*
Ming Yun: ........^_^
Katara: You.... Are
such an A-Hole.
Ming Yun: Hmmmmm.... Interesting. You act as though that is something I should care about.
As you can see, it could be hilarious.
OOH!!!! OOOOH!!!! Taang artists!!! I made our own
Taang Meme!!!!!! ^_^
