Dazzle...LOL, yah, right XD uh...wow, that's really, really dark, and AU-ish.
I like the alternate reality bit of it, sounds very intriguing. Kind of reminds me of that episode in Justice League Unlimited that had that AR where Flash died by Superman's hands, though this is waaay darker than that episode ever was. You watched JLU? !!!!!!! You have no idea how shocked I am. I LOVED that show! Oh and has anyone seen this yet? Loads of Taang icons. community.livejournal.com/aang_toph/74800.html?#cutid1

ilovetaang03, if you click the link, you'll see who the artist is Maylene, YES!!! Justice League Unlimited was the BEST version ever! I used to watch Justice League as a kid, and they went through so many different versions of it! Like, one of the earliest ones had Green Lantern as a white man with brown hair, and there was a League of Evil Villains, and all these characters that had crazy powers, like two twins who put their magic rings together and could transform into any object/thing, and a different guy, can't remember what his name was, but he was a MAJOR fan of Superman, and in one episode Superman sort of "died" and he got all depressed, and then some sort of spirit/person thing visits him and he sort of figures out that Superman didn't die, and then they took the cruiser all the way to the sun cause that's where they decided was the best place to lay Superman to rest, and he used his powers or something to keep the ship from melting -- he was more super-charged than Katara ;P and then there were these two characters who could both transform into giant versions of themselves, one was female (evil side) who looked like she was from the Amazon, and then the other was a guy (good) who looked like an Indian. But this is going like, at least 10 years back or something. XD Anyway, before they had Justice League Unlimited, they had only Justice League (i.e. the original characters like Batman, Wonderwoman, Superman etc.) but then they changed to the Unlimited version and omgggg!!! They had some of the BEST episodes there (some even pwn a:tla), like that one where this magician transforms Diana into a swine, and Batman has to pay a visit to Medusa to locate her cause they used to be partners, and then he ends up singing, on stage in front of an entire audience just so she'd switch her back! XD But my favorite, favorite one of all time was the one where Precious gets tired of taking orders from his mom and uses the amulet of first magic (or I think that's what it was called?) to get rid of all the adults in the world. So everyone ends up in some weird place including the Justice League, and Morgana changes them into kids so they could reverse what Precious did, omggg! That had the BEST dialogue ever! Like, when they went to the palace, and everyone starts flying off except Batman cause he has to walk, and he's like, "Show offs!" and then Diana offers to carry him XXXXXXDDDDD! Or the time when he was fighting and he fell and she actually caught him before he hit the ground, Batman was sooo ticked off! XXXXD! Omg, Diana was such a flirt in that episode, and she's so bossy as a kid! XD I just loved it! And when she gives that speech to all the kids about how they're going to get their parents back for them and then she's like, "And I'm gonna tell!" and all the kids scatter! XXXDDD! But the ending was sort of sad, when Bruce is like, "I wasn't a child since I was eight", that was so......but it rocked the episode, it just rocked. And JLU rocks altogether! I wish they would air it again! It was such an awesome show, and the animation was AMAZING! btw, did they finish the entire series of it, or was it taken off the air? Cause I remember one of the last few episodes being one in which they make a second Batman by using Bruce's DNA, and basically trying to repeat everything that happened in his life until he was eight when his parents got shot, except the person who was supposed to shoot his parents couldn't go through with it or something...was that supposed to be the last episode? um, anyway XD back to Taang. Those icons are AWESOME! I can't get over the subtext in that episode! I wish that person had a DH account so I could karma them! I wanna icon that screencap sooo bad!!

kai: and you said you weren't into comic book related stuff. To answer your question, that 'last' episode you described was titled 'Epilouge'. It was originally meant to tie up the whole series by tying it to the Batman Beyond series. And then someone went and got the show signed up for another season. The last season primarily touched on the Legion's activities, mostly Luthor's unhealthy obsession with resurrecting Brainiac so that they can bond and become a God again. The final two episodes marked the return of Darkseid (He was killed in season 1 along with a copy of Brainiac, though a part of the super computer lived on in Luthor secretly) and the invasion of Earth. As a whole, the entire DC animated universe consists of the Batman series (Including the animated movies of Mask of the Phantasm and Batman/Mr Freeze: Sub-Zero), Superman Series, Static Shock series, Batman Beyond (Including the animated movie Return of the Joker) and of course Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. The whole shebang started in the 90's and ended in the 2000's. All of it one interlocking unisverse. Teen Titans was (thankfully) not associated with it and exists in its own universe. Recently DC has released a couple of animated movies whose content might be a little too intense for kids. Superman/Doomsday (Violence, blood and swearing) and Justice League: New Frontier (Lots of violence and blood. Ever more advanced swearing. Political themes as it's set in the 1950's and 60's. Communist era.) Those two movies are not related to the Justice League TV series but are great watches. There'll be a new Teen Titans movie, not related to the show, titled Judas Contract, which will be much darker than the show ever was. Marvel comics hasn't been a slouch either releasing Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2, Invincible Iron Man and Doctor Strange animated movies as well. For a truly deep animated comic book series, I suggest looking for the Silver Surfer on youtube. I swear you'd never believe that this was for kids. I bet half the dialouge would go over their heads. Sadly, they never finished it and it ended on a cliffhanger. Marvel's recent foray into animated TV shows is of course their most loved character Spider-Man, back in Spectacular Spider-Man. Once again this show, despite it's simplistic design boasts excellent characterization, witty banter and bits that would make adults go, "Is this for kids?" Example, Black Cat's highly suggestive comment to Spidey, in reference to his webs, "Hey! Don't get your goop in my hair." And Randy Robertsons reply to MJ. "Randy, right?" "Very." For Azula's voice actress lovers, she voices two characters in the show, Betty Brant and an original character. A highly annoying cheerleader, whose name I can't be bothered to remember. There's also the upcoming Wolverine and the X-Men series. Despite the cheesy name, it looks to be geared towards teens and up...especially since they cast Emma Frost and her lack of attire. .......Darn it Kai! You made me go all geeky again! Back to the Taang, Those icons were lovely. Subtext in a split second indeed.

I don't remember finishing JLU. The last episode I remember watching is when Hawk Girl came back. I do remember watching the Silver Surfer but not really understanding it. I was probably around nine when I saw it. But we seem to be changing the Tanng thread into the comic book thread. So here's some Taang art. For this post can look Taangy. jinjinbun.deviantart.com/art/Take-it-off-Taang-86273762

Ever wondered what it would be like if Aang said that to her? Spontaneous blushing? Or trip to the hospital? I say, she'd give him props for having the spine to even contemplate such an idea and then she beats the living daylights out of him for being such a cheek.

Gawd it's so awesome to know that I'm not the only Avatard who was into JL and JLU. Kaibasgirl: Whoa. Actually I favored Justice League more than I favored JLU because I like that "less members; more family feel" to it. Also most of there episodes were one hour and the plots were just amazing. Don't get me wrong, some of JLU's one episodes were great--Like the one with Flash and Brainiac Luthor fighting one another and everyone was afraid that Superman would become like Lord Superman but JLU just had too many characters for me. As for the last episode, pretty much what Marvel said. It was pretty much all action but still good. I don't like how there was loose ends about the Shayera/John romance though but that could just be because I was a shipper. ^_^ Hehehe Okay on Taang. I found this wallpaper of Taang moments though it is missing a few more scenes but it's still cute: shirtlesszuko.deviantart.com/art/Memories-of-Taang-86164390Oh and here, here, and here just incase no one's posted them before. XD edit: gosh I really hope all of what I'm posting is new because then I'd feel really silly. XD jinjinbun.deviantart.com/art/Steal-Me-Away-Taang-85616858I love this!!! jinjinbun.deviantart.com/art/Taang-Tiptoe-Kiss-85618386

marvel, LOL, okay, you got me XD but to be honest, I only watch the animated series, I'm not at all into reading comic books. arrrgh, I just spent the better half of my day trying to find that episode online >__< but I couldn't, only clips of it. But, I re-watched some old favorites, and you're right Maylene, Justice League is a bit nicer, cause it has more of a family feel to it. I was re-watching "Starcrossed", that episode where Hawk Girl turns traiter, etc. and that scene in part II where they decided to blend in with the crowd, and Flash starts objecting, and Batman actually takes off his mask and reveals his identity...that was a really intense moment, and makes me think they're probably closer than the gaang. Teen Titans...well, isn't Robin Batman's sidekick? XD For a long time he was associated with Batman's name, I remember it always being Batman & Robin, and then a few years ago it became just Batman alone. Not that I'm complaining, cause I always found Robin to be pretty useless XD all he could do was agree with Batman, and maybe knock out a few bad guys. But in TT they definitely developed his character more, though he's nothing like Batman at all. XXXXDDDD JL & JLU had those moments in droves. I remember doing a double-take when Shayera and Huntress, I think it was? The one who was dating GL after Shayera left -- were talking about how they've been through his underwear drawer Well, they did have a kid together, right? So they *have* been up to something XD I didn't like how Bruce ended up alone and an old man in the end. I wish he and Diana would've hooked up, or at least acted on their feelings. The closest we got was that kiss in "Starcrossed" and a whole lot of moments. Also, they left Superman & Lois Lain (sp?) pretty much unfinished, though, it's been shown more than once that they were a couple. btw, is it just me, or do Diana & Lois really resemble each other. Like, a LOT. It would've been nice if they made an episode where they switched places with each other or something for the day, but eh. I guess that's the stuff of fanfiction XD .......Darn it Kai! You made me go all geeky again! ...........................................................................you know I'm gonna sig that, right? XXXDDD oh, and that wallpaper is awesome Maylene! I really like it! EDIT: wait, I can't sig that, because the character limit won't let me >__<+ dang. I'd get rid of the first one, but I like it too much. So unfair. EDIT2: nvmd the stuff about not finding "Epilogue" I finally did! ^__^

^ Ah good. I was wondering if I should post it on Youtube. ^_^
I agree a lot with what you said, like John and Shayera being up to something (of course Vixen's gonna have to be gone first) for them to have Rex. XDD Hehee.
As for Superman and Lois, well they did explain somewhere (forgot where) that there was an ep. where Lois was finally gonna find out that Clark was Superman but they either decided against it or they weren't allowed to do so.

what episode was it again that John met his son? Dang, I really need to buy the dvd's, that series was so awesome! And yeah, Vixen would have to go XD but I really liked John's line in that episode "Ancient History" that he won't be "destiny's puppet" or something like that. Glad to know he decides to play the part in the end XD and Lois, in that episode, what was it called again? -checks last two pages for marvel's marvelous info- oh yeah, "A Better World" XD she knew then that he was Superman, cause she was having dinner with him, and she was calling him Clark. And just so this isn't completely off topic: riakitsuneyoukai.deviantart.com/art/Taang-Stamp-86159341I rather like that one ^_^

"A Better World" can't count because they were Alt. Lois and Lord Superman; not our Lois and regular League Superman. The episode that I'm talking about is: "Divided We Fall." Lois in the reg. universe still doesn't know Clark and Superman are the same; but in the Justice Lords universe/future, she does.
