Here's how the Supreme Court will work: 1. The Supreme Court will post a topic for debate each week by Sunday evening. The selected topic will be given a case number and a specific question to answer. 2. Once the case has been announced, each army should work out their arguments in their individual war rooms. Don't clog up the supreme court thread with individual points and arguments. If you have evidence you feel could be helpful to your army -- please give it to them in your war room. 3. Each Army's General(s) should determine which evidence will be used to support your point of view, and the Ambassadors will combine those points into a single argument, which they will post on the Supreme Court thread as the official argument for their Army. 4. At this point in time, we should receive 3 arguments on the Supreme Court thread for each case: - One from Zutarian Army
- One from Kataang Army
- One from Sokoite Army
5. Each Army should post their argument by Monday evening. 6. The Supreme Court will review the arguments from each army and take a vote via PM. 7. The official results of the vote will be posted on the Supreme Court thread by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Can judges participate in gathering evidence in their war rooms?

But, this is one of the reasons I said the members of the court shouldn't be active in the war rooms and battlefield -- you can't help one of the armies formulate their arguments and then be considered to be impartial when it's time to pass judgment.. that would be playing both sides of the field!! But that doesn't mean you can't be active on the boards.. I'm active -- but I've only posted once in the Kataang War Room and once in the Zutara War Room.. (i think)..

Hi Cami, I just want to make sure with some stuff.
What exactly is the avatar's job?
As for the topic, is this according to the Aunt Wu prediction? (hehe... just making sure, that's all) ;D

Cami, just to check if I read it right. You will post the question by Sunday evening and we will only have till monday to formulate our arguements? As in 24 hrs? Isn't that a bit of a time crunch on the threads?
On the specific question "Is Zuko a powerful bender?" I assume you wish us to argue on that point alone, correct? As in just whether he is or isn't? Or, like almighty asked, are we talking as in Aunt Wu's prediction?

in real courts, he kicks people out who get unruly and keeps the order in the court. in here, maybe the baliff could be the one who tells people off for debating in this thread? or notifys cami/ a mod when this happens so that those posts can be deleted? The watchdog of the thread?

@ almighty and alleluia: Cami's post. (See below).
@ thepik241: The bailiff... he/she regulates the court and maintains the order. You're also my secretary. ;D

Good catch Alleluia. I anticipate that you should always have at least 2 days to formulate your arguments. So if a case is posted on Sunday -- you'd have until Tuesday to present your case. I'm trying to avoid working on this while we're all spazzing over a new episode -- so we'll try to keep the timeline to Sunday - Thursday.
Almighty - The avatars should be the watchdogs of the court. Watch for any inappropriateness such as a Judge taking kickbacks, bribes, etc. And you will also be responsible for presenting concerns to the court about any issue that the Armies might have. Again, we'll figure out more specifics as we move along..
Thepik241 - I don't know what the baliff does yet -- until we figure it out -- stick around and try to look mean..
By the way -- I didn't see any mention of Aunt Wu in the case announcement -- but if you want to bring her into your argument go for it. **coughcoughI wouldn'tcoughcough**

Sorry Babbs, I started my post before you -- then walked away for half an hour (I'm in the middle of a serious game of Mario Party) before submitting it. I didn't even see that you had responded... I should have checked
Actually Babbs presents a good point -- the different judges will look at the question in different ways -- I can't tell you what each one will look for -- you have to just present the best case you think you can...
