Thanks, I have a new one now, so check it out =D I looove Alice & Jasper, they are my favorite charectors. I just can not get over how perfect the actors they chose for the parts are! It's been several days and I am STILL freaking out about how awesomes Twilight was! I saw it twice, and I am going for a third time when the new theater in my town opens! My best friend and I always joke we are going to get a huge group of girls, take up half the theater, and scream everytime Edward comes up on the screen! XD I really wanted to point out some things my best friend & I noticed about Bella's room though. In the book she had an old, dial up computer, in the movie she has a brand new Dell laptop, and she also had a cord phone didn't she? Not a cellphone? Annnd I really want Jacob's hair to be short, his long hair makes me cringe. XD I hope he cuts it off in New Moon, like he did in the book, because I don't want to deal with looking at his hair through the whole movie. XD So I read an article today about how Twilight has changed the "chick flick" genre forever. From Yahoo : LOS ANGELES - With its muscular $70 million opening weekend despite scant appeal for guys, "Twilight" has redefined expectations for the chick flick .
While offering some high-flying vampire battles, its main action centers on the developing romance between two teens played by relative unknowns Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson . Women and girls made up more than 75 percent of the film's opening-weekend audience, according to Fandango.com , which sells tickets and conducts surveys about recent releases.
With the movie's stellar opening weekend — it trounced the celebrated $55.7 million opening of "Sex and the City" — studios ought to take notice of women's continued ticket-buying power, said Paul Dergarabedian of box-office tracking firm Media By Numbers.
"The word 'chick flick' is going to have to be replaced by big box-office girl-power flick," he said. "The box-office clout of the female audience is just astounding, and it's been an underserved audience for way too long. ... They have no trouble finding money for the things they're passionate about."
Merriam-Webster's online dictionary defines chick flick as "a motion picture intended to appeal especially to women." But "Twilight" is no lightweight date movie — instead, it's a real-girl's chick flick, where a normal-looking teenager finds romance with a modern (if undead) Prince Charming .
"It's the most insanely romantic film since ' The Notebook ,'" said Harry Medved, a spokesman for Fandango.com, who described Pattinson's Edward Cullen as "the ideal boyfriend. ... He's incredibly strong, superfast, impossibly handsome, he plays the piano and all he cares about is what's on her mind."Oh yeah, it was really funny, this guy in my newspaper class went and saw Twilight by himself! It was hilarious because the guys in my class were ragging on him SO bad over it. XD He told me,"Most of it was girly, but you know what I loved? The Vampire Baseball scene! That was awesome! I'd go see it again just for that!"

Ohmygawd did you have to remind me of the baseball scene! That was so great! And I also love Alice and Jasper! JASPER! I too want to see it again! It's the best movie I've ever seen! Me and my friends screamed when each character came in. Actually, right after the previews ended, the theater turned of the movie cause me and my friends were being too loud. We REALLY quited down then!

"The word 'chick flick' is going to have to be replaced by big box-office girl-power flick," The problem there is the total absence of girl power. Stephanie Meyer even acknowledged that Bella plays a damsel in distress role, although she denied the allegations of sexism. As for the movie, I enjoyed it, but that has to do with me not paying for it. It carries on the book's spirit, and its many flaws. Really any review of the book can be applied to the movie as well. If someone like the book, they'll like the movie. Hate the book, they'll hate the movie. If like me, they think it's an entertaining, but not very good book, they should wait for the dvd. Jasper and Alice were hot, Carlisle was a DILF, and James was as sh***y a villain as ever. I thought Bella and Edward's romance was even less interesting in the movie, because the 3rd person perspective makes you realize even more how boring Bella is.

I watched a bootleg of the movie, because I refuse to pay. Anyways, I felt it was well, boring. It wasn't as stupid and annoying as the book, which is good, but all it was was Edward and Bella fapping over each other, and then the end fight scene. Boring.
I was mostly upset over the fact that they cut out Carlisle's backstory, which was my favorite part of the book.
And the sparkly scene made me laugh so hard. Really hard to take the movie seriously after that.

I got tickets for the premiere of it. It was freakin' amazing! I fell in love with Eric. I didn't pay much attention to him in the book, but he was so adorable in the movie. The way Jessica described Jasper was funny. I couldn't get over it. Alice is so pretty, too. :3 It's amazing how she threw the baseball.

And the sparkly scene made me laugh so hard. Really hard to take the movie seriously after that. Agreed. When Edward said "This is the skin of a killer!" all terrified after he sparkled I laughed harder than I did in a long time. Still, I did really like the movie. I thought Bella had more confidence here than she did in the book and Edward seemed more... un-stable than un-godly perfect. James wasn't a good villain but at least he didn't appear randomly at the end. Also, it was cool when Alice broke his neck.

@sarii : I loved Eric in the movie! I really like how they incorporate the minor charectors more in the movie. I actually thought the way they potrayed Bella's relationship with her friends was much better in the movie. I didn't like how in the book it was like they were just people she was stuck with and had to put up with. The way Jessica described Jasper had my best friend and I laughing our heads off. lol.
Okay, I admit I did LOL when he said that about the skin of a killer. I never have taken the sparkling part seriously. It was like Stephanie Meyer needed a reason why they didn't go out in the sun, and she was like,"ZOMG! THEY SPARKLE!" XD
Bella was so much less annoying in the movie! She and Edward both were. I loved how Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattison played them. =D

James wasn't a good villain but at least he didn't appear randomly at the end. Also, it was cool when Alice broke his neck. That's pretty much what I thought of the movie also. A lot of the book was full of "WTF?!"s for me, but the movie made the book more...realistic. In the book, the ending seemed really cheesy and weird. The being-lured-into-the-dance-studio thing felt really stupid in the book, but not as much in the movie. Jasper looked so stupid in the film though. wtf. " " much> Ah, I love Carlisle's back story too. >< Actually, I love all of theirs, but mostly Carlisle's, Jasper's, then Rosalie's. Then again, I thought it was pretty col that Jasper is from the same town as me, so that was probably a bit bias.
