I don't really like tennis or baseball. Both are pretty boring sports to watch in my opinion.

How is driving a sport? I don't like sports at all, but sports like soccer, football, baseball, etc. I acknowledge as sports. But driving? No, not so much. "You need physical endurance to sit in a vehicle going over 100 mph for multiple hours, you need skill to drive a vehicle at over 100 mph and race, and you need a good team backing you up. It's definitely a sport, and it's surely one of the major sports in the US (next to MLB, NFL, NBA, and NCAA basketball and football)." -As quoted from someone from another forum Nascar may not be anything like soccor, football, or baseball that each require a ball. Think about this: is swimming an actual sport? I mean, it doesn't have any balls and does have individual races. Does that make it much less a sport than football? No. Swimming requires training and physical endurance. Nascar also requires training and the drivers have to train their bodies to handle going at incredibly fast races. From your description, you are only describing what you see. Cars driving around in circles, right? That is only what you see, not what is actually required to succeed in the sport. You may not like it, and it seems that you don't really like any other sport, but it is indeed a sport. You can hate it all you want, I could care less. Questioning the validity of it being not a sport is what I have a problem with. People sit in cars way longer than that. And people in the air force train to go at high speeds, but they're actually doing something productive and not just driving in circles. Swimming is a sport because it requires you to endure going across Olympic sized pools over and over. There are no cars to swim for you. You have to do everything yourself.

Swimming is a sport because it requires you to endure going across Olympic sized pools over and over. There are no cars to swim for you. You have to do everything yourself. Once again, you are judging the sport based only on what you see when you turn on the TV. Endurance is also a key factor in racing. I'm assuming that you've been in a car before, right? The speed at which you move in the car is not even close to the speed at which the drivers move in their vehicles. A sudden jolt on the accelorator and you're body is pulled backwards towards the chair. Racecar drivers have to endure that at even higher speeds and have to concentrate completely on the race. You surely don't think that they are just driving around talking on cell phones or waving at friends do you? They are moving at 100+ mph with great velocity and speed. Maybe you should research the sport a bit before making the claim that it isn't because of its supposed "ridiculousness".

And getting jerked back into the car seat is quite fun.

Football. I have issues with all of the football players at my school. They think all soccer players are weaklings.
