Does anybody besides me follow it? If so, who are your picks for the Belmont Stakes?

WHOO! FELLOW HORSE RACING FANNNNNNNN!
I'll wait until the official field is announced. Honestly, I liked Hard Spun, didn't like Curlin, and Street Sense was okay.

I don't follow, but all the people at my barn do, so I always know what's happenin'!

I am too far off the track - literally! Watching the races on TV is just not as exciting...nothing beats the rush you get when one of your own jumps out of the gate! Or standing by the rail....thundering hooves - made of win pun inevidable!

I liked Circular Quay at first, but then after he didn't do so well, I didn't really care lol. I've always wanted to go see a race live, but it's so expensive . I live pretty close to Baltimore though, so I might be able to see the Preakness someday.

Go to a race before that.
We went to Churchill Downs a couple of days before the Derby. It was very nice. Cheap admission and lots of room...

I took a tour of Churchill downs last summer with my grandma. I took lots of pictures . Maybe I should go to see the Kentucky oaks someday.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RAGS TO RICHES!
This race is literally a repeat of Ruffian/Foolish Pleasure, but with two/three new contenders. Rags to Riches, Curlin, and possibly Hard Spun. Let's hope Rags to Riches DOES NOT break down as Ruffian did.
And the Ruffian movie will be on ABC at 9pm I believe. You might want to check that though.
Here's the field for the Belmont: 1 - Imawildandcrazyguy 2 - Tiago 3 - Curlin 4 - C P West 5 - Slew's Tizzy 6 - Hard Spun 7 - Rags to Riches
All carry 126 lbs. with the exception of Rags to Riches who carries 121 lbs.

I think hard spun'll win. I saw a documetary about Barbaro last night. It was so sad! I started to cry afterwords. I loved Barbaro, I used to check up on his status everyday before he had to be put down.

RAGS TO RICHES WON THE BELMONT! After a 102-year drought, a filly has once again won the Belmont.
YAYNESS.

I know! I was so happy to see that, even though I was betting on hard spun. I've never seen a filly win before, this totally made my day. Go girl power !

^ It sounds familiar to me. Is that where Forestry and Unbridled's Song are standing?

Yes it is. Unbridled's Song is the most gorgeous, sweetest stallion ever. Seriously, he likes hugs! I love him to death.

Kentucky Derby's tomorrow!
Derby picks, everyone?
My choice is Eight Belles, really like the filly, and it would be great for her trainer to have a win in both the Oaks and the Derby this year. (Proud Spell won the Oaks just a few hours ago, I was so happy!)
