I love Linkin Park. They're my favorite band currently. My favorite songs from them are "Numb", "In The End", "Somewhere I Belong", "Lying From You", "What I've Done", "Shadow Of The Day", and "Crawling". My favorite album is Meteora. It is so kick@$$ along with Hybrid Theory. Minutes was good but not their best.

Yeah I like their old stuff a lot better than their new mainstream shiz. I feel like they went mainstream, like it seems all the bands do these days. When they start out they sound unique, but then they get popular & they sell out & start sounding like everyone else out there. Yeah, their first albums were much better than Minutes. dang why is everyone hating on minutes?! Honestly, I think their older stuff is just as mainstream as their new stuff because they're both popular in different aspects. If anything, Meteora is the most mainstream, seeing as it has the most #1 singles. I think it's great that they decided to go in a new direction because you have to realize that they couldn't keep doing that angry nu-metal forever. It would have gotten old after awhile. Minutes is more politically charged, and it's given the members of Linkin Park a chance to expand on their many talents. Brad got to play piano in Hands Held High, Phoenix sings back up in "Little Things Give You Away", Rob got a chance to have a kickarse drum solo when they play "Bleed it Out" live. Heck, Mike Shinoda got three songs to himself vocally. It's not the best, but it's definitely a step towards what they can become. I mean, You have to remember the position of the band. When Xero (the foundation of LP), everyone was fresh out of high school, and Hybrid Theory (band, not album), they were barely out of college. It's been a decade later and a lot of them are married, and two with children. They're priorities are in a different place. Hybrid dealt w/ a lot of issues in Chester's past, like drug abuse and a rough home, but now they're dealing with the crappy handling of hurricane katrina (hands held high), becoming a new person (what i've done), etc. They've gone from being ticked at the world to being ticked at the world and ready to do something about it. My only complaint is that Chester is the focus of all the music videos ...but that's probably because I'm in love with Mike Shinoda. and to end my rant on a cool note, i have a bunch of cool LP .gifs I found on the LP message boards, but I wanted to share this one since someone mentioned we made it:

Yeah. I liked Minutes To Midnight. It is just their old stuff is just better. Their new style of music is good, but too different, IMO. Also, The Little Things Give You Away is about Hurricane Katrina, not Hands Held High.

Try to avoid doubleposting. There was no need to bump this thread, seeing it was still on the first page. Next time modify your previous post when you have something new to add.
Thank you.

Also, The Little Things Give You Away is about Hurricane Katrina, not Hands Held High. Hands Held High is about Bush's administration, so I just kind of included the "crappy handling of Hurricane Katrina" there. I guess I should have been more specific and said that, or put the Little Things Give You Away. haha So how was the concert? Judging by the date, you didn't get to see Busta Rhymes, so what other acts did you see?

I saw part of Chris Cornell from Audioslave and Soundgarden. He was pretty good.
