She's my favorite author, second only to Meg Cabot. I adore her and her writing. Her style builds up over time; the book always starts out as boring and before you know it it's 2 AM and you can't put it down. Both of those are my favorites by her. I love Just Listen, too.

^ I was about to buy that one, but it was hardback, and I had another book I wanted to get too. My grandmother told me I could get two paperbacks or one hardback. SO I got "This Lullaby" instead. I've got some money now so I may got pick that up before I leave for the beach on Friday You know I got so frustrated with Remy in This Lullaby because the way she treated Dexter! >< It drove me crazy how she couldn't just let it be, she just HAD to break up with him. If I had a guy as funny and sweet as Dexter I'd never let him go. Although I do understand why she did what she did, it was because she saw how her mom's relationships always ended up, and she didn't want herself to be hurt like that. Well, at least in the end she made the right choice, lol, thats why I like Sarah Dessen's books because she makes you read on untill you finish so you can see what happens to the two in the end.

I hav a habit of reading the ending first, just so I can decide whether or not it's worth reading, and I could never figure anything out from her endings, because it'd be worlds away from where the book started.
So therefore, it makes me read the entire thing.
Remy was stupid. She was scared of commitment (I forget the reason why) and giving herself to a deep relationship, and no matter how much she felt towards Dexter or how much she knew that he was true, she wouldn't give in.
Stupid mistake. I loved Dexter.

Yep, Dexter was awesome. So funny and sweet, plus a musician! ♥ The funniest thing was "The Potatoe Opus" XD

Ahh This Lullaby has got to be my favorite I also have another one of her books...which name escapes me Sarah Dessen was kind of a step for me because I'm all about Fantasy and things like that not High School/College novels. I'm the type of person who likes to escape reality not go into reality but in a differnt state. I have another oen of her books..oh I can't remember its title. Its the one about the girl who finds out she's pregnant after her boyfriend dies in a motorcycle accident.

I've not read that one, but I read the back of it at the bookstore one day it's called Someone Like You.
I am going to pick out another one I think, because I am going to the mall tommorow. I might get Just Listen or That Summer.

Sarah Dessen is my favorite author who writes realistic fiction. Her books always make me cry and inspire you to live life to the fullest and all that jazz. I've read The Truth About Forever and Keeping the Moon. The titles are forgetable, so I don't remember the rest.......but I loved all of them.

Before I picked up "The Truth About Forever", I wasn't the kind of person to read realistic fiction. I usually went for Fantasy, & historical fiction. It was the only good sounding book in my teacher's small collection of books, which she made us pick a book from & read it till we were finished. I am glad I picked it up, because it was amazing, as are all the books I've read by her. I have yet to find a realistic fiction author I like more than her. The stories are awesome, and so well written.
Up to this point I have read: The Truth About Forever, This Lullaby, That Summer, Someone Like You, Just Listen
Next up: Lock and Key

^^I love when a teacher forces you to read a book on her shelf and it turns out great. That's where my Harry Potter obsession started. October of 8th grade in 5th period math I was forced to silently read and I picked the biggest book on the shelf, which happened to be Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was a good day.
Cara you should read Keeping the Moon! It has a slow start, but by the ending it was SO GOOD.
I raided Sarah Dessen's shelf at my Barnes and Noble one day so they're all in a line right now, waiting to be read. I'll need to get Lock and Key! Yay!

I'm in the middle of Lock and Key now. It is so sad. There are times when I start crying so much that I can't keep reading. There has never been an author that has made me cry so much, she is just so good. But I have to read a bunch of The Things They Carried for school and I keep picking L&K over it........
EDIT I finished it yesterday and it was so good. I love how the plot kind of shifted and changed the focus of the story a bit. And Laney was awesome!
