This book used up my whole day.
This definitely wasn't my favorite book out of the series. The book was a bit of a disappointment, to me. But I'd rather not go on a long rant about what I didn't like. I loved reading from Jacob's point of view, it was a very interesting change of view, probably my favorite part of the book. xD
I'm still all for Jacob. Jacob fans FTW! :D

welll, my bookstore was out of it, so I didn't get it after all. I am probably going sometime this week to Books - A - Million to get it. Buuut before I do, I want to ask those who read it, and finished, is it worth it? Or is it a waste of my good money?

I bought it at a release party at midnight and I stayed up until 5:30AM to read it. Then, I read it again.
Yes, it's worth it.
As a writer, I expected a couple of things that happened (I won't list them), but my friend Shawn (who's not a writer) didn't expect any of them.

♥Cara♥: Oh, it's definitely worth it if you've read the other 3 books. And it's not even that expensive, at least when I got it they were having a 40% sale on it at Borders.

Okay, I will probably get it then =) Somebody on DA has already spoiled the end for me though, so I am just reading to see how everything goes down now. lol. I should have known better than to be on there before I read the book.

Oh the ending is NOTHING compared to the middle. When you get there, page 360 is my favorite. That's when Jacob imprints on Renesmee. He really did get his Bella. But different. Bella ended up with Edward, but a part of Bella ended up with Jacob. And he's her son-in-law! Lol. And Charlie's grandson-in-law! How cute is that?

He imprinted on her. He couldn't help it. And she ages fast.

At this rate Jacob will end up on Dateline NBC. First nearly sexually harassing Bella and now imprinting on an infant. I wonder if there's still people out there who like him.

I like him.
And I think the Renesmee thing isn't a big deal. She'll be the size of a 15 year old in a few years, and he won't age.
It's not romantic for him at this point, either, but it will be. It's like Quil and Claire, only Renesmee ages way faster than Claire does.

Even if she ages in a few years, she'll still be emotionally a child since she'll barely have any life experience, so it'd still be pedophillia. I recommend reading this essay about imprinting.

I have no problem with imprinting in the book, it's just another lulzy part of a lulzy series.
However, I thought it was an incredibly....no better word than WEIRD here...plot device in this case. How can it even be justified? He fell in love with this kid's mother for god's sake and Nessie is the daughter of a man he's hated....a man he was DESTINED to hate, I might add....since birth. Plus, the whole situation was just incredibly sue.
"Goodbye, Jacob, my friend...My son."
AHHH HAR HAR HAR, YES, TTLY IN CHARACTER AND COL.
I rest my case. NOT OBJECTION

This is my favorite part of the book Oh, really? Are you sure about that? I see some corpses over there, in that distant corner. They have "independence", "college", "sanity", "hope", and "dreams" tattooed on their foreheads. They sure look murdered to me - yeesh, look at all of that blood everywhere... EDIT: For Jacob and SMeyer.

I really don't see the problem with imprinting.
And Stephenie Meyer can do whatever she wants. It's her series. If you don't like it, don't read it.
