Tamora Pierce (The Immortals, Alanna, ect.)

Personally, besides J.K. Rowling, Jodi Picoult and Ann Rinaldi, she's my favorite author. ♥ (I'd say those 4 tie for first, actually XD)

In case you need a memory refresher, she wrote these series/books: Song of the Lioness series, The Immortals series, Protector of the Small series, Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen, Circle of Magic series, The Circle Opens series, and The Will of the Empress.

My personal favorite would be "Choice" and "Queen" or "The Immortals" series. ^^ Daine and Aly.....just seem to be more like me than either Kel or Alanna, though I do like both characters as well. And Sandry, Briar, Tris and Daja in both "Circle" series are pretty good too, but the "Tortall" series (The Immortals, Song of the Lioness, Protector of the Small & Trickster's Choice and Queen) are my favorites of her books. ;3

I've read a lot of them.
Out of the Tortall ones I've read, my favorite seris' would have to be: Tricksters', Protector of the Small and The Immortals.
I'm really looking forward to the book where Tris goes to Lightsbridge under an assumed name. That should be ineresting.

As I said, Tricksters' and the Immortals were my favorite series too. ;33

And is the book about Tris you're talking about a new one? Or are you talking about "Shattering Glass"? (part of the "Circle Opens" series)
