First we will begin by discussing how much you liked or dislike the first book and why. Please provide good; logical reasons.

I really enjoyed the first Artemis Fowl book. It was original and entertaining; it kept my interest the whole way through. I absolutely fell in love with the characters.
As the series progressed, I was both pleased and disappointed. The second book, in my opinion, was better than the first (but just barely).
The third was by far my favorite (the scenes featuring Artemis and Butler were particularly moving). The emphasis on Artemis Sr. (through Artemis Jr.'s diary entires) was a pleasant surprise that added depth to Artemis' character.
The fourth book? I gave it an indifferent shrug. Not bad, but not quite as good as the third. The ending fell a bit flat, in my opinion.
As for the fifth... it sort of fizzled out. I found myself absolutely loathing Minerva and No1. Artemis didn't seem quite himself to me, and the whole scene at the end just wasn't very satisfying.
Overall, the Artemis Fowl series is one that I enjoy. However, I don't have very high expectations for future installments in the series.

It's okay. *shrug* I liked the first, and up until the third they were good, but then I think they began to die. I also have a slight irrational grudge against them because I was the Greek Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis, for Halloween, and everyone said, "Artemis Fowl?" PLEASE! Is Artemis Fowl a GIRL?

Gamerfreak, the format of threads on DH are less structured than you seem to be making them.

Artemis Fowl is okay. Later on in the book, it got kinda boring. Then again, I was a kid when I read it. Maybe I'll pick it up again.

For anyone that isn't sure, here's a list of the books in the series:
#1) Artemis Fowl
#2) Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident
#3) Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code
#4) Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception
#5) Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony
In an interview, Eoin Colfer revealed that the next book in the series (#6, for those that are counting) will be titled Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox. He stated that it may be the final book in the series, but will certainly be the last book for at least the next three years (there's more information on Wikipedia for anyone that's interested).
There is also a graphic novel based on the first book in the series. It was released on October 2nd, 2007. I think you can find some screen-shots at the official website (www.artemisfowl.com).
