I've read the first two books, they were good. i think that they both started pretty slow. the ends were really good. it was sort of different reading the different points of views at the same time instead of the same old chapters. The Books 7/10

^ Huh?
The third one is the best one, BTW.

I love this trilogy. Certainly not the best, but very good. I got annoyed by Nathaniel's sudden character change and the introduction of Kitty, who really annoyed me.

I absolutely love the Bartimaeus Trilogy. ♥
The first book was just amazing. The second wasn't quite as good and was incredibly more depressing, but still managed to leave me waiting for the third book. And Ptolemy's Gate was wonderful. The ending nearly had me crying, but it was great.
One of my favorite book series'.

Well there are 3 statements you could be "how so"ing.
I will talk about Kitty. I am always irritated in a series or trilogy in which they all of a sudden have a new/different main character. (coughAbhorsenTrilogycough) I get used to this one protagonist (and Bartimaeus), by the end of book 1 im like "all right, Nathaniel's a little whiny, but i'll stick with him for the next 2 books" But then all of a sudden a. Nathaniel becomes an @$$hole. b. Kitty comes along.
Kitty is all "Magicians are teh suck!" which is quite annoying (like Vaan in FFXII) AND THEN she goes and gets all friendy with Bartimaeus, and shes becomes his new best human friend. Which just completely ticked me off.

Would it be better to make a sequel series to go along with this one, or not?

I don't think a sequel to the original trilogy would be quite as interesting.
There aren't very many characters left to write about. >__>
