I love the new cover! But which cat is that on the cover. . . Hmm. . .
And the last Power of Three book came out in April, so it's been about 6 months, and Dark River is going to be released in December. I'm sure it'll be worth the 8 month wait though!

So which cats have already been on the cover? I don't know who that cat is on Midnight. I'm guessing it's Brambleclaw? But I kinda pictured him looking different.

Yeah, I think it was Brambleclaw on Midnight. Maybe this one is. . . Lionpaw? =P

But that one had green eyes on the cover. I thought Brambleclaw had amber eyes. Maybe Brambleclaw was on the Sunset cover. So it's possible that it's Squirrelpaw on the cover, but the book described her to look like her father, and if that's the case, she and Firestar look different (comparing the original series to the 2nd series). So it might just be Tawnypelt (is that her name?). Sorry, I'm over-thinking here.

. . . Does it matter? It's a cat on the cover on a book about fighting cats. Don't the actual words matter more?

Of course the words matter more (much MUCH more), but it's still nice to be able to identify what characters are on the cover.

Maybe the artist just felt like doing a random cat . . . ^_^

^Yeah, maybe. So then, are you completely caught up with all the books or are you in the 1st or 2nd generation? If you're completely done, I guess we could talk about the spoilers. EDIT: Ok, so now you can see the next cover on warriorcats.com. Finally, it's been like forever since I read a new book. Also, as a side note, according to amazon.com, the 3rd manga book is called "The Rise of Scourge" or something like that. There is no picture though. And also, they are now coming out with another series. www.harpercollinschildrens.com/HarperChildrens/Members/firstlook/index.aspx?titleid=1220&WT.mc_id=NEWS_AUTK_EH-SKRS-FL_111507You can see the notable similarities between cover designs. The plot doesn't seem to intrigue me, but I'll have faith in the authors. I hope, however, that they don't slack off on Warriors.

Ok I've just read Firestar's Quest (it finally came in after 3 months of waiting @ the library) I liked the book but something upset me...There were parts in the book where the author referred to the characters by the wrong names. In one part Firestar was talking to Scratch but then they accidently said it was Sky. Then another part they reffered to Petal as Petalnose and this was before she received her warrior name. I understand its probably really hard to keep some of this straight but geez...

yeah. I think they had to rush through a whole bunch of stuff because the demand for a new book was so high. Really, I blame the editor, who should've noticed these things. I didn't notice it much though. I mean, I noticed a few instances.

Okay, I might check the bears thing out. Also, I'd read the manga if I found it at the library or something. I go through those things so quick it's not worth buying them. Other than that, I think I'm done with Warriors.
But I just wanted to bring this up. Did anyone see that special on the history channel, Earth: After People? In one part, it was 150 years after people left and vegetation had grown all over the sky scrapers, and the cats had made their homes there. One guy even said that the cats might develop skin flaps like flying squirrels and be able to glide from building to building. And I was sitting here thinking, how would that look with the warriors clan systems?
