Wow, what I wouldn't give to read one of those books. I hope that they print out the stories so everyone can read them. Me too. I resisted from reading any of the amazon.com summary/reviews because I don't want them spoiled if they ever do get printed. Sadly, the Harry Potter fandom seems to be dwindling with no more books and not much new HP news. AWS and HPWS at the same time! AHHH

Aharharhar, I'm probably way off topic here, and I don't know if spoiler tags are needed anymore, but I need to get my thoughts out somewhere. Was I the only one who bawled her eyes out when Voldemort died? I knew he was screwed from the start, but I sure he'd be redeemed, albeit in a cliche way, but still!

Actually, I cried at that part too, but more because the whole adventure was over than because the character was dead.

The plot of Deathly Hallows probably lost some of it's impact on me because I predicted all the main plot twists. AWS and HPWS at the same time! AHHH Well, there's still the movies to look forward to. Oh wait, David Yates will be directing both 6 and 7. F***k.

Well, the 7th is being split into two parts, so they'll actually be able to do that one justice, if they don't screw it up.

*Karma* kaneda for being anti-David Yates!!!!! I get so mad when people say that OOTP was their favorite movie. It twisted up the entire plot and made no sense. He absolutely killed OOTP and I acn't believe they're letting him come back for 3 more movies. (I'm wicked excited for the DH split, but the movies will be really bad. I get so excited for them but already know I'm gonna hate it before I see it.) Order of the Phoenix was the longest book and shortest movie. They could have had at least something about the Department of Mysteries fight!! I think the majority of the actors do not play their characters well at all *coughemmawatsonmichaelgambondanielradcliffecough* Emma Watson is nowhere close anything Hermione and when Michael Gambon said yelled "Don't you all have some studying to do' I almost walked out of the theater. And Snape's Worst Memory? What the f*** was that? I was crying through all of DH (probably except when Voldemort died (we don't need spoiler tags here right? - it's been out for a while - sorry if I do)) like the graves at Godric's Hollow, Ressurection Stone scene, Dobby!, Hedwig, Tonks, Lupin..... I actually didn't get that Tonks and Lupin were dead at first because JKR said something along the lines of 'Lupin and Tonks were lying peacefully next to eachother' and I thought they were asleep. XD It was just denial..... I am dead serious in saying that I would marry Lupin if I ever saw him in real life. James is my back-up. I apologize for this geeky angry pathetic rant.

I kept on having to explain huge chucks of things too my mother- in the dang theater- because they left them out or glossed over them. I am very disappointed.

I'm not the kind of person who normally complains about stuff being left out. Azkaban was by far my favorite movie in the series, despite the fact that it left out quite a bit. OotP kept the plot intact in my opinion, it just forgot to keep the quality intact. David Yates cut stuff out, but not unnecesary details like in PoA, rather, he cut out what gave the book it's spirit, and as a result I couldnt care less about the plot, as I had no reason to feel attatched to it. Yates essentially made a montage of the events in the book, not a proper film. Eh, this is the book thread though... so I suppose our discussion should drift back in the direction of that medium.

Was I the only one who bawled her eyes out when Voldemort died? I knew he was screwed from the start, but I sure he'd be redeemed, albeit in a cliche way, but still! Eh, I thought that, too ~ I kind of wanted him to pick up the baby and give it the chance no one else did. I guess Jo's suggesting you gotta draw the line somewhere. Plus, he chose, himself, not to be redeemed even though he was given the opportunity. So anyway, in other news, this whole lawsuit involving the encyclopedia is rather upsetting. It's a shame that people just want to make a quick buck on the books and ignore the "desist" orders given to them months ago. They ought to be allowed to publish only after Jo's own book has come out, if then; the precedent a ruling in their favor would set is rather disturbing. The judge ruling on the case said he had once read part of Sorcerer's Stone to his grandchildren... maybe, like Richard Harris' grandkids did when they heard he hadn't yet agreed to play Dumbledore, they'll hold sway over him until he decides in JKR's favor. Eh, I just hope this ends as well as possible for all involved.

That on chapter about Snape's past made the entire series worth while. The ending was a bit rushed in my opinion.

^After that chapter, I couldn't believe that Harry didn't bring Snape back with the Resurrection Stone.

^Honestly, the first thing I would have done if I was Harry would be to bring Snape back and apologize.

I know. Him leaving Harry was also OOC, too, especially since he's stayed with them for the past six books through everything. *coughgobletoffirecough* Movie 5 sucked, it was worse than having an inebriated, illiterate moron try to describe what happened. Overall, I thought 7 was too short/disorganized. It was like actiontalktalktalktalktalkfightend
