Buy a game for the single-player, keep it for the online. Games like Bioshock are rental-only, really. Or Final Fantasy. I dont rent. I return, claiming it to be defective =D Meh, I couldn't do that.

Don't get mad ,but personally out of the consoles (I own all 3) the Wii is the most dissapointing.
The Ps3 and 360 games really polish up on the established "controller" style gameplay. The Wii games on the other hand are mostly comprised of gimmicky and repetitive mini-games (save for RE4 , LoZ, SPM ....).
It's a fun little console but I just really don't like where they're taking the industry.

I own the Wii and I'm extremely happy with it. While it cannot be compared to 360, it's got great gameplay, and the fun factor is through the roof. It's great to come back to my room after classes and unwind with 9 holes of golf, but I get more excited about new games for 360.

I think the wii is going to get out of the "fun minigames" phase soon enough. More developers will be willing to try stuff with the wii now that they know its so succesful.

I love my Wii, but sometimes it pisses me off with the having to point the Wii-Mote @ the screen. On the other hand it's cool sometimes! But other times I miss regualar controllers!

The Wii, the best thing since the creation of videogames. The games on Amazon.com are soooooooooooo expensive. Almost $90 for Mario Party 8!!!! At Costco the prices are $10-$11 cheaper. From now on, I M going to Costco.

The Ps3 and 360 games really polish up on the established "controller" style gameplay. The Wii games on the other hand are mostly comprised of gimmicky and repetitive mini-games (save for RE4 , LoZ, SPM ....). I think that you're correct for the most part, but you're forgetting a few titles. Metroid Prime 3 is fantastic, and Mario Strikers Charged definitely isn't for everyone, but I personally loved it. The multiplayer is great, which makes up for the lame single player mode. Not sure it's worth fifty bucks, but it's a fun game nonetheless. And I haven't played Prince of Persia for Wii yet, but if it's anything like its Gamecube cousin then it should definitely be on the list. What's upcoming for the Wii is what excites me most about the system: Super Mario Galaxy (looks beyond strange, but hey, so did Sunshine) Soulcalibur Legends (not a fighter, but it promises to be awesome anyway) Whatever Mario Kart game comes out (Motorcyles!) Brawl (seems like it's a million years away) Radiant Dawn (GG)
