For Olimar, I can only really sugest picking up either Meta-knight, sonic, or marth. Olimar is a strange charcter in that. the match-up will be strongly in his favor, or strongly against it. also, to my knowledge, almost every character has a move to get the pikmin off them. I cant really help you without knowing who you play though.
ROB cant really camp. His lazer decreases in power over time, and can be easily spot-dodged if you are expecting it. also, his charged disk can be caught if you learn the timing.
Snake, he is not so much a camper as he is a mind-game dependent master. His rocket can be dodged, but you have to move quickly towards skake after that to avoid the turn around and punish him while he is vulnerable. His grenades, it is advisable thar you roll and sheild through them, or simply run. running is a great defence/offence and is often overlooked. mainly, you just to always pay attention to his mines/rockets/grenades. they are slow, and not spamable, but you MUST always know where they are.
also, remember that you can spotdodge out of a run, and you can airdodge as many times as you want. for every jump you have. my favored method of approach vs olimar with DDD is jump, dodge, jump, dodge, jump, dodge.
EDIT: gat dannit, I wish I could play you guys.

I'm not saying it's not possible, but in regular mode, the advantage is clearly on the defender, wheras in Heavy it's to who is better.
In fact, it's fair to say that as Olimar, all you have to do is press the yellow stick in the direction of the enemy to win.
I don't want to see the game become a campfest, which is what it's becoming.

I play DDD against a verry good olimar. and olimar is a HORRIBLE match-up for DDD. But I still make him work for it. if he just tried tospam smashes at me, i would spank him silly. also, it would be nice to know who you play.

Zenj, I play ZSS, Peach, Diddy, and Zelda. I don't have that many issues with Olimar, really, but watch almost any tournament final, and you'll see it's a campfest. By the way, even my campy-Olimar friend agrees that Heavy > Regular. There's really no reason not to play it. Combos are possible, fastfalling does something, and playing a good match takes more skill than shielding an approach and throwing / downsmashing them away. ETA: I'm going to a local tourney on April 19th that M2K is likely to attend. *whimper*

Ike is AWESHUM! how can you guys rate him so low! I find this "top tier" character lists pointless since it's the skill of the player that determines the outcome of the battle, not the character. I bet Ganondorf can kick the smashing mother out a Toon Link any day, and viceversa.

I bet Ganondorf can kick the smashing mother out a Toon Link any day, and viceversa. The skill of the player is most important. But the thing is, Toon Link is fast and reasonably powerful. Ganondorf is ridiculously slow, and his strength can't make up for it, especially seeing as his speed makes it tough to even land a hit. Toon Link is just a better character. While a good Ganondorf player can obviously win matches, that doesn't make the character any better. Ike is low tier due to his speed. Being slow isn't as big a flaw as it was in melee, but it's still a flaw. Ike can definitely win some matches with noncompetitive players, but in competitive, the opponents would be just too good to hit a lot with his slow attacks. Tier lists are most important in competitive play anyway. Amongst casual players, sure Toon Link is still better than normal Link, but the difference is much less significant.

It depends on the taste of the competitive player. If he preferes power over speed, Ganondorf will be his pick. He may run slow, but he is very powerful. He does have fast attacks too. It's just a matter of getting the timing. Personally, I don't see the glory of Toon Link. He's fast, but his attacks aren't that strong as they say.
Ike, for example, has great A combos that hit hard, are fast, and with good timing, can decimate a Toon Link. I may even consider him better than Marth - and this is coming from someone who was a total sucker for Marth in Melee.

I saw Zamus on low tier.
And I laughed.
I saw ROB on low tier.
And I laughed.
I saw Sonic on middle tier.
And I laughed.
Honestly, he really needs to play those characters more. Hell, all of the characters more. That tier list is off. Way off. On about 15-20 characters.
But hey, whatever, I'm willing to go with my "low tier" character.
As for Ike, I'd put him on bottom tier, almost every character in the game has a way to space him, and all his attacks are really obvious. Plus, you can gimp his side-B recovery by jumping up and letting yourself get hit.
I'd have to pour more effort into a tier list to really put one up, but characters I know I'd put at the top are: Marth Toon Link Meta Knight ROB (Yes, I'm serious) Snake (Possibly. Might just be high tier)
Lowest: Ike Sonic Ganondorf
I'd really have to go through in-depth, but I know for a fact that the tier list Zenj posted is way off in sooo many ways.

Hey, whats your brawl code?
I still cant play anyone online, but I want you to play some of my friends.
specifically, I know a sonic who I think will DEFINITELY change your perspective of him. every complete tier list places ZSS low, even though I dont have much experence against her, I trust it. and I definitly agree with him about ROB, he is good if your against somebody who doesnt know you can air-dodge as much as you want, and who lets him get distance from you... other then that...
However, I do agree with you that MK should be way higher, and DDD a little higher.
I should also mention that this game is more balanced then melee, so being low tier isnt such a big deal.
... except for ganondorf. he REALLY sucks, I cant see him winning ANY serious tournaments.
but ya, give me your friend code, and play a beastly Sonic...

Haha, ZSS at low tier is funny, because almost nobody plays her, or knows how. Sonic, beastly? He has, what, two killing moves? Forgive me for rating him low, but he's really not all that good. ROB can also Wall of Pain you right off the stage. Yes, you don't have time to airdodge, and he has such monstrous airtime that dodging doesn't so much. Not to mention, dodging under him is a terrible idea.
My friend code is: 5327-0655-6250
I have a slightly laggy connection, however. This can affect ZSS play pretty badly. But whatever, I'll do my best.

I should also mention that this game is more balanced then melee, so being low tier isnt such a big deal. Amen. In Melee, the tier lists were much more valuable, but in Brawl, the playing field has been evened out a lot more. From how you mention Sonic, you surely value speed over power (also from how you rate Ganondorf so low) But I can't grasp Sonic at all, and I love Ganondorf's power. Too bad I can't really play against you because, 1, I play on my friend's Wii, and he's on a trip, and 2, I don't think USA can connect to Lating America...

Have them get online or something, I dunno.
I will be laggy, though. Just another warning.
