One of my friends is so into Rock Band that he went out and bought a drum kit and is starting drum lessons next week!!! O.o I'm quite proud of him actually. He's getting pretty good at Rock Band now too, fairly decent at Hard mode.
For the orange button people, I have played Guitar Hero enough to have some tips. I play the viola so the act of shifting your hand up and down is pretty natural. You want to practice shifting your hand position so like people said, you can easily switch from your index finger being on green and then your index finger being on red. So if we number the buttons 1-5, green being 1...you want to try doing this pattern with your fingers: 1234, 2345, 1234, 2345. Then try different patterns, maybe 5432, 4321, 5432, 4321, etc. Remember to think of your hand as a unit, and the first finger determines where the rest of the hand is.

@ck: Oh heck yeah, trying to get that orange button down is hard, I can do it on some songs, but most of the time I mess it up. Its hard for me to slide down and hit that button then slide back up in time to get my hand back in the "home" position. But I would like to be able to progress and master the Expert level. Is Rock Band allowed to have Dual Shock controllers for the guitars and bass? I'm not sure, but Guitar Hero is compatible with them. The controller, in my opinion, is easier, but everyone prefers to play the game differently. So, if RB does allow Dual Shock controllers, then my life would be so much easier. ^__^ "I'm So Sick" by Flyleaf is in there. I'm probably not going to be good with that on vocals. (at least, when I'm able to get the game in, what, two years?*) Heck, I'm not good with screaming vocals, period. >.O Edit: *Okay, scratch that. If I find the PS2 version at GameStop, I'll probably get a mic if someone's willing to do the singing. *coughbrothercough* xD (the two years part was because I thought that it wasn't for the PS2.)

You're better off waiting for those two years to upgrade so you can take advantage of downloadable content, better graphics, etc. etc.
There's no reason to think that it wouldn't work with controllers, but half the fun is standing up there pretending you're, say, Pete Townshend (guitarist for the Who and inventor of many different stage moves) with the guitar and jumping around, trying to look like you're actually playing guitar.

No, you can't use controllers (At least not for 360). And ew @ Flyleaf. But Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld is win. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnFPKj5rBao&feature=related

^I can't wait for that game to come out, I'm really excited for it. I'm very curious as to what songs are going to be added.

Ah now Guitar Hero is going to have an all out war with Rock Band. I love Rock Band way more but they would probably lose this. Im still buying the new guitar hero though. Oh and my best instrument is guitar on this but vocals is the most fun. I broke my drum set though.....

I am planning on buying the disk for GHWT and the disk/premium gutted bass Rock Band 2.
And whoever has the better drums, I'll get that.
Ion doesn't count.
