Just a question I just thought of today while I was flipping through my, 60 some volumes of manga. >_<
I'm both a manga reader and an anime watcher. It's just that for most of the time, I'm too cheap to buy either. ^_^'

I tend to do both, although I have more manga then ever watched in anime. I guess I am a both kinda person.

I don't have time to watch the anime. Plus, it's more expensive and it really isn't portable, unless you have a DVD player on you 24/7. The manga is usually better, so I buy that.

I blow money on manga all the time and I usually watch the anime first to see if I like it because it's easier for me to access. Plus, considering I don't live in an anime/manga friendly city, I don't have time to browse before people see me and start probing me with annoying and snarky questions at BAM.

^Lol. I'm glad I live in a town with a lot of annoying Wapanese anime freaks anime lovers. The bookstore clerks pay no mind to the 5+ teenagers that sit/stand in the manga section reading half a collection of manga, who more than likely won't buy any manga at the end (i.e. moi). XD I do admit that I got most of my manga when Media Play was still in existance... We had a weekly turned monthly anime club where we got vouchers that gave anime related objects 10-20% off, and the manga at Media Play was less expensive than Borders anyway, so I saved a lot of money on manga that way. I buy my anime on eBay, and I usually wait for the anime I want to come out with a complete box set to save money. But since I'm about to be poor in less than a month (COLLEGE), I can kiss all that goodbye. -_-

I usually buy the manga. My town...er, well, the closest large city form my town of 1000, has a huge used book store, and you can buy manga for as little as two dollars. So I get that. There's a lot of selection, because people around here try to "be cultured" so they read the manga, like, once and take it to the store, where I buy it and keep it on my shelf and read it everyday. Course, said used book store has a lot of anime selection, and we have the online blockbuster thing, so I rent a lot of anime. And I buy FMA at McKay.

Both, but don't you mean too *broke* to buy them? If I hadn't bought all the anime/manga I did before... I'd have half of what I'd need to buy the ones I want now. ^.^ I usually buy the manga. My town...er, well, the closest large city form my town of 1000, has a huge used book store, and you can buy manga for as little as two dollars. So I get that. Cheap. Broke. Either way, I lack the resources in order to continue buying. ><
