TEKKAMAN BLADE!!!!!!! (aka Technoman in the US)
Now that's an anime that needs to be remade and updated for today. It had a wonderful concept and hits potential for a even better plot if retold correctly.

Cowboy Bebop! I miss it! It was great.
Also, I don't know if you guys heard of an anime called Nightwalker (it was vampire-themed, and awesome)?
And Yu-Gi-Oh! The original one! The GX one sucks. Also the Pokemon ones. The first one really rocks.

Oh lawd, are you kidding?! Yu-Gi-Oh was a TERRIBLE anime. Particularly because I hate the concept of something as stupid as a child's card game ruling over society and determining hefty decisions such as the fate of the world. The situational wins in the duels were VERY unconvincing and god-modey at times. Plus, most of the characters had zero depth. And Bandit Keith? That was Japan blatantly spitting on Americans, not that I'm super-patriotic or anything. The only two things remotely appealing about Yu-Gi-Oh were the manga and LittleKuribo's Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series.
And Pokemon reminds me of underground endaemonism/dog fights for some odd reason. The original video game was fun, but I really can't do the anime anymore.
Wonderful classic.

The original Pokemon was a lot more dramatic than it is today, and it was real heart-wrenching at times. But for the hyperactive 10-13 year old I was (at the time it took me to see the entire series), it was all good. I hold fond memories of being up on Sunday mornings (yeah, Sunday, cause Kids' WB was only on WGN when it was first aired in America, and while we did have WGN, they didn't air the Kids' WB till Sunday morning.) and watching Ash take his first steps out of Pallet Town, reaching Veridian Forest, beating Brock for the Boulder Badge (say that ten times fast). They aired the original Pokemon for a while on Boomerang, but I have no idea if they still do.

Yeah. The old seasons of pokemon were dramatic! that's why so many people watched it because it wasn't overly dramitic-queen show like it is now, that's why i love the old seasons!!!

Wow, Hamtaro, Pokemon, Card Captor Sakura, and Pokemon are considered old anime shows? Sailor Moon qualifies though. I still feel like an anime geezer.
- Robotech - G Gundam - Battle of the Planets - Voltron - Tenchi Muyo (I suppose it counts as old in comparison with the prior list) - Patlabor - Irresponsible Captain Tylor

Cowboy Bebop! I miss it! It was great. Its not that old. I mean, its even younger than Evangelion.

And do not forget lower budgets which require the reuse of stock footage.

I miss Slayers, Yu Yu Hakuhso, DragonBall Z + GT, and I miss the anime classic (however corny) SAILOR MOON! These were all classics that should be resurrected. I like the old Pokemon somewhat too. Its awesome in comparison to the new series. I can't stand the new series....
