Have you watched Shinichiro Watanabe's stuff yet? Both his big series are limited runs (less than 27 episodes each) - but they're really good.
By the way - has anyone heard yet if Arakawa plans on doing something else post-FMA, or is she going on a well-deserved vacation? She seems to have been doing manga steadily for years and years (even before FMA), so I'm not sure if she's ready for another series, or will just take a break. I admit, I'd love a spinoff, since there are so many possibilities (heck, I'd like to learn a lot more about Xing!).
Wow, that's an amazing amount of pages. I heard it was going to come out June 11th, but I also heard a while back that they were going to try have both the manga and the Brotherhood anime end around the same time. The anime still has a couple episodes left though so I'm not really sure how that'll work, unless all those remaining episodes will be aired together? I wish I could find that information again, but my Google-fu is failing me.
Are you guys going to do anything special to commemorate the ending? I think I'm going to make cupcakes with FMA frosting designs, just to do something since I always miss the live LJ posts. ^^;
