What's your favorite fight scene? Or, in your opinion, what fight scene do you think is the best?
I know that I've seen a lot of fight scenes.... However, I only remember two of them.
Himura Battousai (Kenshin's killer mode f.y.i.) vs. Hajime Saito from and Naruto vs. Sasuke (during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc) are my favorite.

Hmm...rather hard, but I'd have to say Haji vs. Amshel in epi 49 of Blood+ :3

Hm... I'd have to say Kurosaki Ichigo vs. Kenpachi Zaraki during the Soul Society arc of Bleach.

kenshin is always always good for a brawl My personal fav is the final fight in Wolf's Rain between Kiba and Darcia. Pure desperation vs. pure resilience. It was great.

But as for best. Freeza versus Goku(regular). Some of the best animation to date. Not really. Even for it's time it didnt live up to the standard set by Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, and Akira. Best anime fight scenes. I have to say Glutton v Wrath in the FMA movie was quite good. Watanabe fights are always great too, like end of Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. Asuka's fight in "End of Evangelion" is most impressive. And although I'm not a big fan of Naruto, I must confess Naruto v Sasuke was excellent.

FMA fights are always awesome, as are the airborne battles in Miyazaki movies.

I'm really hoping you are basing your statement with the prior knowledge that Dragon Ball had three separate animation teams each with their distinctive style and budget. Furthermore, I hope you also note the difference between movie footage and episode. And lastly, The Freeza and Goku fight took place in 1991, 3 years before Eva, and 7 years before Cowboy Bebop. If you would take the time to notice the drastic differences in styles between episodes. Its like judging the entire Gurren-Lagann series on episode 4. Its kind of harsh don't you think?

That fight was perfect but it would've been better if didn't have such weird animation. Since the Naruto anime makes the fights last forever, it's hard to like them. The only other fight I liked from the anime was the one between Sakura and Chiyo and Sasori and his 100 puppet army. The animation was good and it was fast-paced.

Almost forgot. Kenshin vs. Enishi during the Jinchuu Arc. Wasn't animated, but it was still awesome. Oh and you can't forgot the Black Hole power of Kenshin vs. Shishio at the end of the Kyoto Arc. And there was this one fight scene in this anime that literally made everybody at our old anime meetings go "WAHH!" but I forgot the name of it. ;_; Gee! Only ONE person mentioned Bleach? Oh well! *cough cough!* >.>

I haven't liked a lot of anime fights because they're often so static and take five episodes to complete. That's one of the things about Bleach I couldn't take anymore. FMA has much better, more fast-paced fights. I did like the Sasori/Sakura/Chiyo fight in Shippuden, but it should have been completed within the one episode -- two tops. But I guess since they follow the manga closely, the whole season would be over in five or six episodes. Hmmm. That's one of the things I've always loved about Avatar. When they fight they fight. One 'fight' that I really liked was the one between L and Light when they were handcuffed. It was only a couple of hits for each of them, but I loved that the person who threw the blow flew through the air with the person who took the blow. It made for a very short fight, but a really great visual. Back quickly to Naruto: I liked the fight between Kakashi/Naruto and Sakura at the beginning of Shippuden. This is a good thread. It's giving me ideas for the next anime I want to watch. I think it will be Blood + .

^I've got to agree with you on that one. I hate how fights take an entire arc to complete. The spend most of time "Chargin it up Dragonball Z style." It's when they do that battlecry stuff to gain all of their energy. That Hokage vs. Orochimaru fight was rediculous.
