^ i have to agree, i'm going to wait till i pass judgment. Personally, I liked Seed better (NOT Destiny). My favorite though is 08th but I haven't seen many of the others (Zeta, ZZ, Turn A, X, G)
The one thing that does stand out is the high quality animation.
Just my caveat warning it's VERY hard to sympathize with the Gundam Miesters. You'll find yourself rooting more for the anti gundam forces.

I sympathize with Lockon and Allelujah the most. They seem to be decent. Setsuna is showing a bit more of his character. Tieria not very much. However, with the arrival of the Thrones and their pilots who will probably treat their predecessors like trash or obsolete, we'll start sympathizing with them. The Throne pilots take the intervention even to more extremes. They take out military facilities who are doing nothing at all. While the original 4 just intervened in conflicts. Needless to say the Thrones will be stomping around and gallivanting with their powerful "toys"...

I just watched 15. Well from the new opening they've pretty much set up the that there will be a show down with the Thrones. Also from 15 we get to know that the 4 will probably get another upgrade as well with their "GN Arms". That muscle dude mentioned that "if only we could use the GN Arms" Any ways the series looks to be finally picking up.
I want to see how Graham and Sergei deal with the Thrones.

ok yes i know i'm double posting but it's been a while just watched 18 and OMG best ep yet. I didn't think it would have been possible to turn the series 180 from being a semi super robot show with unlikable heroes into a war drama worth of the original UC timeline. I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone, but all I have to say is Graham is the F'ing MAN! I think it was best described to me on another board as, "it seems like all the passion in the show is channeled through Graham". But not in a Gayham sorta way like people used to joke about, it was the subtle transformation of his view points of the Gundams, from exciting opportunity, to mission object, to loathing of the situational unfairness, to where we are now. I should probably also say there are another very surprising twists in this ep that caught me completely off guard. All this build up and change makes me excited (for the first time) about where the series is headed.

Not that it was all that exciting but simply because I was waiting for something to happen. And when it did... ah man! I've never had a better experience watching a tv show =D

I dunno 23 was kinda of a let down for me. I was expecting more "epic", at least in regards to what Ali would do with the Throne.
Was disappointed that Lockon didn't use the trans-am when he knew he was in trouble, also the fact that it seemed like he had a death wish was kinda out of character. The lack of Graham with this GN Flag was also a disappointment.
With the crazy throne brothers and Ali (maybe) out of the way there's no longer a "bad guy" pilot for the sides to go after which makes me kinda of sad.

I thought it was epic beyond proportion. This is the longest battle sequence in the entire series so far. Before episodes showed fight scenes that didn't go over 2 minutes. It's usually coupled with several "talking parts". This is the first episode dedicated to full length combat. It was established that Lockon hates terrorists and is out for revenge. The whole reason he joined CB was because of the KPSA bombing in Ireland. Now that he is finally facing the man responsible, he went all out. And for Gundam, I like it that way where there is no good guy, bad guy. The message is "war is hell", whatever side your on.

See i don't think Lockon went "all out" I think he had more of a death wish than any one realized. Why not "all out"? No trans am. It's obvious the system could be turned on at a flip of a switch, as shown by the other gundams. He could have easily overwhelmed Ali during the melee part of the fight had he turned the trans am on if he was really that desperate to kill Ali.
I mean had Lockon went trans am and the fight still ended up the way it did, it would have been epic cause it would have shown Ali's skills were equal to the hax/plot device of trans am.

Maybe the drive was damaged from Patrick's last beam saver attack? It did penetrate the cockpit which was inside the Drive itself. Ian also mentioned that it was really really damaged in episode 22 which might mean he had to do a Mcguyber to make Dynames work again.

watched ep 24. not too bad, I'm not going to spoil the good action parts but for the most part the action was good though i still think the potolomy crew has got to be one of the worst battleship crews in the Gundam franchise.
For me though the lack of Graham in the climax battle is an automatic lose. oh well, there's always season 2.
