^ Don't listen to Kaneda. He bashes every f*cking anime that's not made by Miyazaki. Its true though, the manga's the same as the anime.

I have to agree with Kaneda here--in most cases, the dub of an anime isn't drastically different. I find it a little strange how people's responses to others saying they don't like certain anime is "oh, you must've watched the dub". If people care about the plot and animation, it won't make a difference whether they watch the dub or the sub--the same message will get across.

^Not necessarily. Sometimes, a dub butchers the anime, whether it's censored too much, the voices are horrible, etc. Now, I don't think Naruto is too bad, but other series are much, much worse.

Even though Naruto's dub isn't as bad as others, many people get turned off by Naruto because the dub is the first thing they see. Let's face it- Naruto's voice is very annoying. Since he's in every episode, you'd see the problem. And they dumb down the dialogue. They're also doing the same to the manga, which I don't particularly like.

There are definitely cases in which the dub is censored and edited so much that its original plotline is warped, and in those cases I'm happy to admit that it deserves a re-dub and that the sub is better. But I think that in most cases, the dub is equal in quality to the sub, save for different voices, which may or may not be considered 'better'.
Naruto is an annoying character. Maile Flanagan's Naruto voice is annoying because Naruto is supposed to be annoying. I think she's able to make Naruto sound incredibly serious at times, without a hint of the annoying quality that it has when he's joking. The dialogue is never dumbed down so much that it's unbearable. I've never noticed an instance where I went "hey, that's totally different than the sub", except in spots where there was supposed to be swearing. The swearing is retained in the uncut DVDs.
I'm a bit of a voice-actor fangirl, though, so I might be a bit biased when it comes to my opinions on the voices.

^ Well, from the look of things, you saw the dub. Try the manga; it's tons better than the sub or dub and it doesn't have any catchphrases or stupid dialogue. Plus, it has TONS more blood!!!!! XD Unfortunately youll find the same amount of intelligence. None. Wheres the speed racer love? My mom loves Speed Racer ^_^

Yep! I would have been mad if they lived happly ever after though. It would not have fit the serese at all. It was so sweet and so sad. Just, perfect.
