He has to let old pokemon go or stay with Oak or whatever so that they can use the newer pokemon from the newer games, of course. That's the point of the anime, after all, to sell the games. And seriously, when I watch the show I often really feel like playing the game so I can use whatever pokemon was featured in the latest episode... but usually by the time I have a chance to catch one my interest has waned anyway...

But his Pidgeot JUST evolved. Why couldn't he just keep it for at least one season? WHY!? Pidgeot are so awsome.

I used to watch Pokemon, and then I was sorta like...I don't like it anymore...and then...I love this show... it's pretty much been like that, and then I just stopped liking it all together. But I remember when I was in first grade, I used to play Pokemon on the playground, and then they wouldn't allow us to bring the cards to school because some big guys were tricking little guys into trading really good cards for weak ones and then I was sad, and....I remember giving all my cards to my sister except one...can anyone tell me which one? I will give you a karma if you get it right. IT WAS A CHARIZARD CARD! I know it! I paid $25 for one of those when it was on sale. no, it wasn't a charizard card, and it was probably a medium card, not good, not bad

No it wasn't a vulpix, pikachu, or eevee. I'll give you a hint, it is a second evolution, a pokemon misty would be most likely to get, and it's blue
