Am I obessed with Ouran Host club if I have the theme song as my ringtone? That's not obsessive, its healthy enjoyment. The company 'Viz Media' who translates the manga are looking for Ouran fanart to put in Volume 11.

I finished volume three of the manga and went to get more but the Barnes and Noble in my area doesn't have it. I'd forgotten that. Isn't that odd? They have a pretty good sized manga section but they don't have Ouran.

(Much cheaper that way too.) Barnes & Noble usually sucks anyway. Try Books a Million - they always had a copy of Ouran when I'd show up.

^I buy mine at Borders. Mine has a few copies of each, but they never have any of volume 4! I waited forever to get a copy of that one. >.< And about shipping... I watched the anime first, where I developed a strong liking of Kyouya/Haruhi. Even though he's a bit different in the manga, I find that the ship still appeals to me.

And I do order a lot of things online, but I have to confess I love bookstores. I can just hang out in a bookstore all day. So that's why I always go to the physical store first. @bpt: I like Borders so much more than B&N. For one thing their frequent shopper card is *free* (B&N charges $25 a year to give you 10% off! ) and the rewards are pretty quick in coming. We have a good sized Borders a little further away than B&N and I usually go there. They have an even better manga/anime selection and often have sales. They did NOT have Ouran volume 4 though! What's in that one that makes it so popular?

I'd like to tell you what makes vol. 4 so popular but I can't remember! XD
That' really is strange that Borders would be out of vol. 4 and for them to take so long in getting it. Try Amazon.com or Viz's online store. I love bookstores as well, but to get the vol. you want, ordering online will make it easier to get.

I got it! I went to the Borders superstore today ... or as I like to call it "heaven" They had one copy of 4 and I snatched it up. Haven't cracked yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Then I'll let you know what's so great about it!

Cool! Congrats on beating any others that wanted it! XD Well there was this kid I had to knock down and take it out of her hand, but she was unprepared for the attack so it taught her a valuable lesson. I still haven't cracked it yet. Very busy day today. I'm definitely getting to it this weekend though. That child's concussion must not be in vain! (I'm kidding about attacking someone -- I very calmly took it from the shelves and purchased it with real money)

Okay, I finally finished the main part of it and I guess it's unique because it's very strong on the gay humor. The visit to Haruhi's house and all the interaction with her father. Then the Alice in Wonderland episode. Also the Hunny's Cavity, and Newspaper Club episodes. It also has all the drop-ins about their ages and birthdays. So that's the run-down. Still not completely sure why it's hard to find but I actually enjoyed Volume 3 more. I haven't read the Romantic Egoist portion yet so maybe that has a little something in it.

Beleive it or not, it could be the "gay humor". I'm guessing there's alot of the Twin's "Brotherly love" act in there, right? There's probably alot of fangirls who like that. *coughlikemecough*

There's probably alot of fangirls who like that. *coughlikemecough* You know there is a lot of cross-dressing in the Alice in Wonderland bit. And that one is pretty funny. I guess I've seen the Newspaper Club episode too many times to find that one very interesting. In the beginning of the book she describes the cast and says plainly that Kaoru is a 'handsome homosexual' which surprised me because that was only implied on the show and I assumed that was part of the bit -- the "Oh come on! They've got to be!" -- for the humor of it. But I didn't actually notice any more 'brotherly love' bits than in the first three. They were very pretty in their Alice in Wonderland dresses though.

I loved the Alice in Wonderland episode! It was totally "WTF is going on?" when I first saw it in the anime-- I wasn't sure whether it was some elaborate prank, or cosplay the club was doing, or what. >.< I really enjoy reading/watching it though, it's one of my favorite ones. Along with the one where Kyouya gets lost in the mall. Geez, must have missed that bit. I always thought they weren't really gay, they just did their minor incest to make everyone weirded out... >.<
Wait, in which volume did she say that?
