Ah, okay. I'm a bit "off" today... Well anyway, now the suspense is gone! Honestly, I wasn't expecting a monster. I thought it was going to be... I dunno. Just something wierd, unthinkable. A monster is somewhat.. generic. But yeah, yeah I know. "What else could it be" right?
Thanks.

Actualy if you ask me. by studying its designs. I say it looks more like a mutated Whale. also this thing is much bigger than Zilla (the 1998 Godzilla, or GINO), or Godzilla (The True Original Japanese Monster). I realy like this because its original, its a monster yes, but design wise, its something I haven't seen before. as stated by the directors. however, I don't beleave its "Cute" like Lady Morgana said before.

OK..so now that weave all seen the movie..has anyone given any thought as to what the title could mean??...
a clover has 3 leaves..referring to a 3-pronged entity (ie "666") .. so "cloverfield" refers to its territorial claim...and while this is admittedly far-flung..the 3 "leaves" could be giuliani/mccain/romney.. each of whom are bent on doing to liberty what the movie character did to the statue...

Cloverfield is the name of the street where JJ Abram's offices are. Yep. It was supposed to be called "Greyspot", with the same designation that Cloverfield (codename greyspot/cloverfield) but since the viral marketing caught on so fast, cloverfield stuck. Anyway. I loved it. I loved this movie. I loved how it ended, I loved how it built up, I loved everything. I loved the unsettling moments of just gore and suspense. I dont want to spoil anything, but I loved seeing the news reports on the TVs at the electronics store. I like how semi-realistic they seemed. Having no big name actors (except the one chick from mean girls?) made me feel kind of more in tune with the movie. Oh god and the ENDING. That is how monster movies should end.

RIGHT. Oh, and I looked at all the spoilers.

Im coming across some people who didnt like the movie. Mostly because their only basic reason was "the camera was poopy". Which I can understand. But it really added to the drama ya know? Oh man when they were going into the subway and he falls down and the monster looks down and screams at them for just a brief second. Jesus.
I almost soiled myself just thinking about it.

I loved the movie despite the shacky camera giving me motion sickness. I really loved all the scenes involving the monster babies, those especially when they showed up on the night vision. My only problem with the movie was the ending. I would have Ditched the last few minutes (especially that lame youtube like biography) and have the movie end with the helicopter crash Oh and did you guys know about the viral campaign for the movie? I learned about it after the movie, but man it's crazy. movies.ign.com/articles/845/845649p1.html

Slusho! was the drink company that Rob was supposed to work for, and on the Slusho! website, they had a contest to win "free slusho!" which actually was advanced screening tickets. God why didnt I do it?!

Just saw it in theatres today. After sitting through the first 20 minutes I thought it was going to suck but that all changed very, very quickly. I loved how realistic the movie was (if you can actually call a monster destroying new york realistic oO). Unlike most typical monster movies--where they tell you the source of the monster, it's weakspot, all of it's capabilities blah blah blah, it's just straight up panic, panic, panic die. They really didn't explain anything which, I think, made that movie have a stronger impact than most other movies--leaves a lot to the imagination. Like, if a crazy, mysterious thing attacked a city--it would most likely happen the way it did in Cloverfield than Godzilla or King Kong. Fav parts: The night vision bugs The girl at the makeshift med-clinic The very end (so ironic...)
