Holy cow, I knew about them up until Toy Story 3, but the rest is news for me!
...*cue batman theme* To Wikipedia!
uh... wow... what else can I say... I'm a huge Pixar fan, but these upcoming movies seem so... bizarre (?)
Cars 2 is the second Pixar movie ever to be a sequel, besides Toy Story. Is anyone else a bit scheptical about TS3?
and what are your expectations of Wall-e? To tell you the truth, I was once hyped for it, but now I just don't know what to expect... from the latest trailers I couldn't grasp the concept, or the plot of the movie. I hope there is a plot. please?

I was never remarkably hyped for it, due to the main character not appearing interesting. The writing has often been one of the things that make Pixar movie stand out, so the absence of dialogue doesn't come across as a good thing to me.
Not saying I don't think it would be good, or maybe even amazing, just that I'm not hyped for it like some people might be.
However, I definitely look forward to "Up" and "The Bear and the Bow." The latter of which is an entirely new genre for Pixar, and it will be nice to see their take on it.

No Incredibles sequel anywhere in sight equals sadness. Bear and the Bow does look intriguing, though. It'll be neat to see what the geniuses at Pixar can do with the fairy tale genre (is "fairy tale" even a genre? ;x).

@kaneda: Yeah, I know what you mean. The base of its character is its robot-cuteness, but even that can get shallow pretty fast. I just hope to be entertained while I go the theater to watch it. I know Pixar doesn't mess around with bad concepts, or bad stories for its movies, but I can't help to have my doubts. here's an interview with director Andrew Stanton -of Finding Nemo fame- with IGN movies.ign.com/articles/865/865021p1.htmlYou know, Up seems like it will have a lot of humor and charm. 78 year old teams up (heh, up) with an 8 year to search out adventure? sounds like a plan for disaster = fun! @conspiracy I don't know, Incredibles is one of my favorite movies of all times, and I would hate to see it milked for money with bad sequels that doesn't live up to the glory of the first one. Besides, if Brad Bird isn't involved in any TI sequel, consider it a no-no for me. where is Brad Bird anyway?

I don't want to see Wall-E at all. These Pixar movies are total hit or misses for me. I didn't see Cars either, but I love Toy Story! I wish we got a Finding Nemo sequel. My brother tricked me once and said the sequel was Finding Squirt, but he made it up. The other two I haven't heard of, but I'd like to see the commercials!

Yes, but trailers can be misleading, and the director has proven himself to be quite good. I think I'll probably end up pleasantly surprised by the movie's quality. where is Brad Bird anyway? He's going to direct "1906," a live action movie set during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. On the topic of sequels, I don't think Pixar should do them at all. Not because of "oh noez milking for money" or "sequels are automatically sucky becuz they iz sequels" I just prefer seeing them do entirely new concepts.

nymphadoraCars... well, I had a "what the hell?" opinion about it at first, but I came out happy from the theatre becuase it turned out to be a fun movie after all. It's not the greatest Pixar movie, but it's nice. @kaneda After reading again that interview with the director, I am a little more optimistic about it. It's definitely going to be 'something else', something we haven't seen before, or at least not done this way in an animated movie. oooh, so that's what he's doing. I'll look for more info on that movie. He's worked in animation for so long that it will be interesting to see how he does in live action. here's an interesting experpt from an interview with Brad Bird regarding a sequel for The Incredibles: (clickz)

The only ones that seem a bit interesting to me are WALL-E and The Bear and the Bow. WALL-E looks like a cute movie. I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks so, but I think he looks like a robot version of E.T.here's an interesting experpt from an interview with Brad Bird regarding a sequel for The Incredibles: (clickz)It's true what Bird says. The original team know the characters and settings better than anyone else, and no one else can make a sequel as good as them. Though I still think that sequels aren't necessary. The Incredibles ended great so it would be better to leave it at that. Besides even the original team has a chance at messing up with a sequel so it's better to leave the first one untainted.

Besides, if Brad Bird isn't involved in any TI sequel, consider it a no-no for me. With it's spy-movie-meets-comicbook premise, The Incredibles could conceivably go on forever...but I agree, it'd be a shame to just see it milked for a profit...

I had seen something about Wall*E on TV one night. I have to say, it looked pretty good.
I'm not at all interested in a second Cars movie. I really thought the first one sucked. I found it monotonous and completely dull.
Toy Story 3 sounds like a good deal. The first two were great- I am totally looking forward to it.

I can't wait for WALL-E. Everytime I hear the little robotic voice in the commerical I get so excited! I think it's going to be a pretty cute movie.
Up looks like it's going to be, at the very least, interesting. I'll be keeping my eyes on new news for that one.
Toy Story 3....Toy Story 3....Well, Toy Story 2 was waaay better than anything I could have ever imagined. And already, Pixars idea for TS3 is way better than the original Disney idea for it. So I'll just leave it in the creators capable hands and hope for the best.
newt. Just the concept of pixar doing a movie about procreation...I'm in!
The Bear and the Bow. Looks amazing....I'll have to get over my aversion for Reese Witherspoon in order to get through this one, but if anyone can make me forget about/ tolerate her, it's pixar.
Cars 2. Why?

*Shakes head* I dunno about this. WALL-E may turn out to be good, I mean, the little guy's lovable loser antics have already struck a chord with me. And who knows? Maybe little WALL-E will get his girl, but Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 really have me worried. Sure Cars was a great movie, and Toy Story 2 didn't suck, but I don't think it wise to pursue those stories any further, even if there were plenty of room for more in both. Of course, only time will tell. Now, the other three, particularly The Bear and the Bow, even with the little we've been given at this early stage, to me, look like they may have something.

I'm going to see Toy Story 3 and cry like a total loser. DX The first two make me so sad. I've always had this problem about hurting inanimate objects' feelings. I have all my Beanie Babies, Barbies and stuffed animals on my shelf still because I don't want them to be sad if I put them in a box. I have clothes from when I was 8. The whole thing about kids outgrowing toys is so sad.
