Yeah, I know they ain't movies, but this was the best category I could put this in. So does anyone like musicals [or operas] here? Don't be shy. Some of my favorites are Cats, The Lion King, Les Miserables, Chicago, Aida, Annie and Ragtime.

Hmm... musicals are awesome. I love most Andrew Lloyd Weber (especially Phantom and Cats), and I've grown increasingly fond of Wicked, which is relatively recent. Of course, one of my big favourites is pretty old: "Man of La Mancha".

I think im the only guy who loved Joel Schumacher's PotO. Its not really a musical in the sense of bursting out singing, but "A Mighty Wind" is a great comedy that happens to have some nice songs.

Little Shop of Horrors The Lion King The Producers (1979 and 2005--yes I liked the new one, so what?) The Nightmare Before Christmas (probably has the best music I've ever heard)

I adore Musicals. Moulin Rouge, Chicago, Rent, Wicked, The classic Disney movies, (Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Little Mermaid, etc), Avenue Q, Cabaret, Aida, Les Miserables, THE PRODUCERS xD, etc.
I love Andrew Lloyd Webber. Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita, Cats..
Oh yeah...Mulan, Prince of Egypt, Anastasia..
So many. I love them all.
Except High School Musical. I loathe it more than anyone will ever know.

Heck I like:
Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. Well that's Disney for you. The Lion King on Broadway, and Aida.
Also like Evita, Sunset Boulavard, Starlight Express was ok, The Phantom of the Opera, Jekel and Hyde. Cats was ok for me. But ever since I watched Team America WP, I've laughed at Cats. Chicago, my mom has Hairspray on DVD. Dreamgirls was ok for me, but I liked Jennifer Hudson's voice way better than Beyonce's, I'll give her that!

I heard that they're making Hairspray into a movie. They should make Les Miserables into a movie then. It deserves it. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if they made The LOTR or Harry Potter into a musical? Or better yet, Star Wars.

Yup, the Hairspray movie opens next month. And they already made LotR into a musical. Its in previews in London, and just yesterday the preview was canceled because an actor got his leg caught in the set. I think HP would be a hilarious musical, though. I can only imagine what the songs would be about!
