If they are releasing films in chronological order, they already skipped the first book. But then again, the first book probably wouldn't make for a good movie.
I read the books not too long ago, and I am rather fond of them. I really hope Prince Caspian will be better than The lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Not that that was bad, but the acting was a bit cheesy, and the plot kind of rushed.

Well, the writers had to condense the book into a move timespan. Plus, they didn't have the author to help them out. But yeah, the acting wasn't that great which kind of crushes me that the second movie won't have that "special" element that the books have.

They are releasing the movies based on the dates published.
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is the first book published but not the first chronologically.
Just think Star Wars. Episode IV was first released but not the first chronologically.

Actually, it was a pretty good movie. Some parts could have been tightened up, but overall it was a success, not to mention a faithful rendition. I'm looking forward to Prince Caspian, but I'm not sure if they'll be able to pull it off again. i hope this is as good/if not better than the last movie.... i might just go c this in theaters..

I'm a huge Chronicles of Narnia fan, so I'll probably go see this in theaters. I wasn't a big fan of the last movie though, some things were really weird, even though they did stick to the book fairly well.

Yeah, Caspian in this book is supposed to be thirteen. I guess they had to tweek the plot a a lot little. I'm still wondering how this movie is going to work out, if they have Caspian as an adult..... Naw, I think that Caspian hit puberty early. <___< That would explain it. (maybe) xD Either way, I want to see the movie for my birthday this month. I can't wait to see it.

I Just saw it. Good movie, bad book adaptation. I don't know how to do spoiler tags.... Otherwise I'd have more to say.

I've loved these two movies, although I haven't read the books.
As far as Caspian's age, all that I'd heard was that he was supposed to be near Peter's age, so they cast someone around William Moseley's age.

I have heard so many good things about this movie, and Prince Caspian is just plain hott. <3
The actor who plays Caspian, Ben Barnes, is 26. I've read like two or three articles about him in the past two days, lol. In People they said,"Watch out Orlando Bloom!" XD

I thought the first Narnia one was ok. I hated this one. I wasn't dissapointed, though; I wasn't expecting much.

I wasn't expecting much either, but Prince Caspian I thought was ok. It was a lot darker and more violent than the first one, and there were a hell lot less obvious religious references. Not that those were bad, but the Lion, Witch and Wardrobe had way too many.

I haven't seen Prince Caspian yet (I may go see it this Friday or on Saturday), but I have a friend who has seen it. I asked her if the movie was any different from the book (yes, I tend to be a "purist," and I usually end up preferring books to movies). She told me that Caspian and Susan have a relationship in the movie. My face must have been like this: I mean, why put a Caspian/Susan relationship in the movie when they don't even say two words to each other in the book? Granted, it could just be Hollywood commericalism, but still.
