Ok so who here liked and seen V For Vendetta? Spoiler alert! I thought it was hilarous, as serious as a film that it was, that when V was on the verge of dying, told Evey that he loved her. I'm sorry I just started cracking up at that part. Ok so you manipulate someone, and shave their head. So that means that you love them? Oh give me a break!

I <3 THIS MOVIE.
*just watched it, again*
Anyways, about the "love" thing, I believe that V ish Evey's dad. A ton of things match up, and there is so much evidence pointing at that.

Personally, sounds like the final step in ideologically brain washing someone. Who better to carry on his cause than his "love" who understands him so very much...

Really good film, the Wachowski Brothers did a really good job, I love the way they did the final fight scene, the effect they used looked very cool!!!

V for Vendetta is definitely one of my favourites, even though it needs to stand separately from the graphic novel it was based on. That "love" bit was just your typical Hollywood flare, and the movie could have done without it. V lived off of being an idea, and admitting to something that grounded him as a human seemed out-of-character to me...
There was another moment in the movie that could have been removed, and that was when the little girl spat "Bullocks" at her television. It had me thinking, "Gee, for a society that's in lock-down with an ever-watchful totalitarian state of government, these people sure are free to say and think whatever they want."
But overall it was fantastic. I'm a sucker for dystopian settings.

Even though I've already seen it twice, we have to watch this movie for my film class. I'm excited cuz it's one of the few film movies that I'm *actually* looking forward to...

I'm so sorry, but as much as I liked the movie, I was never feeling the love story in it.

I'm so sorry, but as much as I liked the movie, I was never feeling the love story in it. It really wasn't meant to be a love story. The whole movie is about how an idea can change the world. The love story in question however can be easily explained. V taught Evey not to fear, and that brought them closer together. Or to make is simpler: love works in mysterious ways and its different with different people.

Ya I agree it wasn't the kinda story that tied everything up with a bow it made you think or at least it should have.

Which makes me wonder, is he dead for good or do you think he'll come back? I have no idea. But you never know. He he he.

I think he's definitely dead for good - as a person anyway. I think he still lives on as the idea, but since his body was blown up with the Parliament building, he himself is dead for good.

Who knows, who knows? I still wonder what kind of burns he had. I wish we would have saw his face. I want to see how badly burned he was. And we never got to see that! Oh bollocks!
