strangesheelf: That video was awesome, I was laughing so hard. It's so true, lol. Poor Soko has been so neglected lately. Hopefully now that I'm on spring break I'll be more active here.

Guys, keep me updated here: Most of us think Soko will happen or be hinted at towards the end of the season, correct?

I'm not for Soko...or any other form of Zuko-ship...but I'll let you guys know when he's reunited with her in my fic...it basically has all the Zuko ships in it...except Maiko...I'm sure everyone around here knows how I feel about Maiko...the one Zuko-ship I don't want to see, and the one that seems most likely

LOL, we understand. Maiko can happen, Zuko would deserve to be 'whipped' after that stunt he pulled in the finale--but I don't see it becoming anything serious so...no tears.

I believe if there is a fourth season, Soko definitely has a shot at happening. Possibly if Zuko finds his way back to the light, and attempts for his Nation to get along with the other three kingdoms he must apologize for all of his sins he and his country made. (Including the horrible deed he did to Song and her family. )

There are a few possible outcomes for Soko happening, but the best/most likely ones tend to be ones that happen toward the end of the series or have hints at the end that that's the direction Zuko will go (for whatever reason) when the plot ends and we all speculate what happens after. The latter is my own prefrence (as it's more open ended, which is best when shipping) unless the series ends with a flashfoward for whatever reason.

Aqua--agreed. While I would like to see Soko have more development, I'd rather save the canon-declaration for the end or have it hinted at. You were right in the other thread, the relationships track record on this show aren't that good.
I don't think Sokka/Yue has ended, because death/godhood ascension doesn't typically stop love, but we'll see. XD

You were right in the other thread, the relationships track record on this show aren't that good. Looking at how many romances actually work out in any given series kinda tells you whether or not you really want yours to become canon. I mentioned in one thread that the only ship that hasn't fallen apart is Tahn/Ying, and I can form a super crazy/silly batshit Soko theory from that. XD; No, I suppose not, but given their departure in the S1 finale it doesn't seem like she'll be coming back very easily. Unless Sokka becomes the Ocean Spirit and they go back to the oasis together...

I have my own theories for Yue's reappearance, and I think it will be a great big deal and probably happen on the day of no sun--in which the moon eclipses the sun.
Seriously, I find it highly interesting that both of Sokka's main love interests can be words for 'moon' (Yue - Chinese, [t]Suki - Japanese), considering the tie-in the moon has with waterbenders.
But I would much love to hear your crack theory for Soko. ;D

Yeah, I wondered about that too, but I try not to think about it much cus somehow it ends up spelling doom out for Suki in my mind and I don't really want that. D: You sure? It goes like this (more or less): As some of us bothering to read Wikipedia's ATLA articles may know, Song shares a VA with Ying, the pregnant woman we see in two seperate episodes. In fact her voice is pretty recognizable, she just has an accent as Ying for some reason.
But getting back to the theory, after many episodes passing from when Song and Zuko met, Zuko comes accross Ying and her husband Tahn (whose names we don't learn until much later), makes to attack them for food, but doesn't when he sees Ying is pregnant. Now, the normal analyzation of this scene would be that yes, Zuko has morals, as well as our first clue to the mother complex that Zuko is revealed to have throughout the episode, but to the batshit Soko shipper, this scene indicates that by attacking Ying he is indirectly attacking Song as they share the same VA, and obviously that is some Zuko cannot do because of twu wub, yaddayadda.
Continuing on, we meet (and hear this time!) Ying again, only this time the gAang meets them (clearly foreshadowing the gAang meeting Song BTW) learning that she's soon to pop a bun out of the oven and of course before the episode's end she does. Of course what's most important here is what she names her newborn daughter, Hope. And what does Song say before Zuko steals her chocobo emo-horse ostrich-horse? That's there's still hope left in the world.
Well of course there is! Because it's in the womb of the woman whom she is indirectly connected with through a VA! Not to mention, when on the train, Iroh complements Ying on the attractiveness of her child, which clearly indicates that Iroh approves of Zuko and Song making Soko babies in the future. If it has the Iroh stamp of approval, you know it's good tea.And there's your annual dose of Soko batshit. Don't take too much now, Song might slap you. xD

You know, that's not the poorest theory I've ever seen put together, but nonetheless, we'll keep it out of the shipping manifesto should there ever be one written up, eh? ;D
Thank you, we needed that! XD

I'm glad you guys got a laugh. XD Blame AWS. It's always AWS. :shakes fist at Nick:
What's sad is that I have a few more but I shall refrain as they are not as... 'well thought out' as this one.

Oh come on, I'm pretty sure that in the earlier rooms, we've come up with some real crack-induced speculations. Besides, we're not doing much else. ;D
