^LOL. She was only worried about Katara knowing what she said but yeah it's close enough.  Either way it was a nice scene between Sokka and Toph.   yea I know but shipping would be so boring if we didn't over analyze everything and twist peoples word to turn a normal phrase like "Hey Toph" into something like "Hey baby baby, want to come get acquainted with my tongue?" Atleast that's what I hear every time Sokka says Hey Toph ;D If people can create an entire ship out of a thirty second scene *cough*azuki*cough* then I can say that Toph and Sokka wanted a personal moment that was only for the two of them  |

LOL!! I think Toph would be the one to say things like that, Sokka would be like "don't kiss me!! I HAVE A KISS OF DEATH!!!" while Toph would yell " I DO NOT CARE!!!!!"

Let's hope she has a computer that can translate fanfics into braile , and she doesn't read any rated M tokka fanfics that give her any ideas You think Toph can't handle a little curse? For one, 3 is a very lucky number, she would be Sokka's 3rd kiss. for 2: Since Toph is the Chuck Norris of the avatar world, she's definetely much stronger then a simple curse. a kiss curse taking down Toph is like a circus magician taking down the Hulk |

She's going to need to study up in order to compete with Sukki and Yue ;D ahaha just kidding guys She is definetly strong enough to live through Sokka's curse and besides (are you all ready for the cheesefest? ) her love is too strong for it to stop her. Hahahah I can't believe that I just said that... BUT IT'S TRUE P.S. I have a pretty matching Tokka Icon/siggy set now! It makes me happy :]

A little something for you guys:
Some may disagree, but I see Sokka and Toph's relationship as " It may seem that I don't care, but deep down I am there for you" type. This strikes an oh so good chord within me that is so understandable. IF one were only to look on the outer part of things, they would think that she is nothing more than a nuisance to him, when in reality she truly cares for him as a friend, with a growing affection for him as seasoning xD.
Sokka seems to not mind Toph's snark comments at him, and at times he actually likes it. He has shown he can be tender with her at times, even if she gets annoyed at it. But in essence, she doesnt want to show any weakeness around him. I believe Toph's driving force of her affection for Sokka is that he can make a way out of no way, his bravery not to give up, and most importantly his heart. Its amazing how a 12 year blind bender can have such a deep and abiding affection for someone she has no idea of how he looks like.
I guess to her, its about what's on the inside that matters the most to her. Sokka truly cares for her as a friend no doubt about that. I believe there is plenty room for him to develop an affection for her, maybe not in the show, but definitely ahead in the future. In the "Crossroads of Destiny" I have never seen a more affectionate (friendly) and calm look on Sokka's face when Toph held his arm for support. Whenever Sokka is in danger, she wont hesistate to protect him, and he will do the best he can as well to protect her.

That ramble was very very nice and 110% true! *Karma* cause I wish I could have put it that way. Both Sokka and Toph are the type of people to keep their feelings on the inside. I mean we haven't heard a word of Sukki all season and the runaway brought up the first mention of Toph caring about her parents. And yet despite their defiance to emotional support the two of them confided in each other and it was the ultimate bonding moment for the two of them. The fact that Toph cried in front of him shows that she's just that comfortable with him and also Sokka wasn't afraid to just take her aside and tell her how to cope. I don't think that anyone besides Sokka could have gotten Toph to show her true feelings about her parents too and it seems as if Toph is the person that Sokka confides in too when it comes to his emotions. Even if they aren't romantically interested in each other (yet!) they still have an incredible bond.

You two are making my Tokka side go teary eyed. So. Much. Karma. To. Give. But yeah, I saw their bond as a brotherly/sisterly thing but I think that's what got me into liking this ship along with what you two said already. Besides, me loves love with some affectionate sarcasm.  |

@liz: Toph IS romantically interested in him, however Sokka is pretty unknown at this point concerning any feelings....xD.

Should have been more clear on that one power... I meant romantically involved not interested. We've seen Toph's feelings and although we haven't seen any proof of Sokka's interest he could already be feeling the Tokka love!
