Well, for one thing Azula may have been lying... we can't really tell. She may have said that just to keep Sokka talking and delay them. Also, Sokka has been showing some pretty large hints that he cares for Toph as more then a friend (and more then he's cared for suki) so even if Suki is alive this ship is still alive and well! I have a feeling we're atleast going to have a confession scene and I know that at this point Sokka won't flat out reject her. He'll try to contemplate their relationship and figure out who he really cares for.... Toph or Suki.

Mike and Brian have confirmed that Toph does indeed have a crush on Sokka. Those guys are definitely playing something big up, I just hope Tokka comes out on top at the end.

At any rate, the likelihood that the matter won't be addressed on the show is slim.

agreed! They've even mentioned it in their commentaries! It's obviously on their mind and it seems as if they were trying to stray away from Sukka for the entire first half of the season. I mean it was packed with Tokka and not one mention of Suki! They were definetly trying to keep the focus on Tokka

Anyways, wow, I'm glad I just caught the 100th page of the Tokka thread in time before the new one is made.

S3 has been so generous to us Tokka fans so far. All those little moments made me squee every time. Especially Sokka's Master and The Runaway.

Sorry Kohana! You're right, S3 has had so many Tokka moments! I'm shocked that Sokka hasn't realized that Toph likes him.... although he is a little thick at times. I feel like I'm overexagerating the signs from Sokka but it does seem as if he may like her. And that's not just me being like "OMGZ! THEY SAID HI! THEY'RE IN LOVE!" He's just connected with her emotionally like he's never connected with Suki (or maybe even Yue!)

That's true, Liz. Just look at "The Runaway", he even trusts her enough to tell her something he hasn't told anyone before or ever will for that matter.

He lets her cling on to him on Appa in "CoD" and in the boatride in "The Painted Lady".

He even gives her a present in "Sokka's Master".

I have more signs that I can say, so even if he doesn't like her that way, he likes her very much as a friend and dare I even say it... but as a best friend?
