Well most of ship Sokkla cuz it's fun--and probably cuz it's funny. XD In addition we don't get into the shipping wars. However I can't see Sokkla in the canonverse. I guess, for now, I don't care if Sokkla gets into the Avatarverse---as long as they don't kill Azula or Sokka off, then I would happy. But would I really wanna see Sokkla in the Avatarverse?
Well I would rather see Sokkla than Tokka. I can't handle any more "May-December" romances, especially if they're in one group. In addition I think it's cliche to put main character gal and guy together; than have secondary main character gal and guy together. I think Avatar should have at least one opposite pairing--to signify that they can become a whole world again, and that opposites can co-exist in harmony. The union of opposite pairings could signify unity...if I'm making sense.

For all you know this could become canon. Maybe this is how the Creators plan on killing off Azula. I can picture it now,
Sokka: (In chains, being held prisoner, from another picture of someone being held prisoner at SDC)
Azula: (comes up to him) "I can see why Ty Lee has so much interest in you.
Sokka: "You don't say"
Azula: "Yes, and unfortunately for her, she can never have you"
Sokaa"Why's that"
Azula"Cuz I will" (closes in and makes out with him) breaks off from the kiss and drops dead from the Sokka love curse.

Well you gotta admit, Kaibasgirl, that all his girlfriends end up MIA or dead.
As for May-December, it's a term used to describe a relationship where the two ppl's age are very huge in difference--though Toph and Sokka don't have a HUGE difference, at least not anyway when they grow older, but since Toph's 12 and Sokka's 15...that's a bit...scary...for me anyways.

Yeah, Tokka definitely smacks of pedophilia at the moment. Also, I don't think it's going to end up happening, cause in an interview somewhere, the writers decided to give Toph a crush on Sokka cause they thought it would be cute. I don't think they meant for it to last.
In fact...I hope it doesn't last. Kataang is bad enough, it'd be nice to see some "love lost", it'd give a more realistic spin on things.

Actually, Kaibasgirl, I think Sokka would be the best possible boyfriend for Azula. They could go together pretty good. They both like war plans and stuff... I could see those two together...

Even so, It would be hilarious if it was true, It would also be the only logical easiest way to kill off Azula. Another great thing about Sokkla, is that we don't have to justify the fact that sokka will never fall in love with a fire nation princess, because Azula is the type of person who gets what, or whom, she wants. She is very...persuasive. If he doesn't fall for her hottness, well, she'd probably just kidnap him and hold him as her "personal prisoner". |
