The Zutara Shipbash is now open. Many thanks to Utsukushii Kohana for her work at arranging things and providing an opening post. You rock!
----
It was a clear, warm day. The earlier bright sun was setting low, near the horizontal line which divided the sea with the Earth, marking the beginning of dusk. The sky was beautifully painted with different shades of orange and red, and a few splashes of purple. The last remaining rays of sunshine illuminated the still waters of the tame sea, which was lapping at the shore, darkening the pure white sand.
Even though the nature was quiet and peaceful, there was a party being held. Boys and girls were wearing bathing suits, gracefully moving with the tune of the background music, talking among each other with their eyes sparkling with immense joy. There was even a net placed for beach volley ball, where two teams of six people throwing the ball from the one side to the other. Especially Sokka and Aang were hitting away at the ball, amusing themselves.
Kohana watched, with a playful smile crossed on her face and she joined the party all too eagerly. When a soft breeze picked up, she wrapped a short skirt around her waist, of which the baby-blue shade matched the colour of her bikini and her mid-long hair was pulled up in an elegant bun with strands framing her face for this special occasion. She scooted next to the people at the table on which the snacks were situated and where Toph was stuffing herself with the salt potatoe chips. Kohana grabbed a cup of coke, shaking her head softly at Toph's behaviour and took a tiny sip as she glanced around the beach party.
She couldn't help but rest her eyes at a drooling Iroh at the side of Jun, who was dressed in a tight, black bikini. He was obviously attempting to court her, but the only response he received was her rolling her eyes irately and then walking away from him. But Iroh didn't give up just yet and followed her like a puppy dog.
Chuckling amused, Kohana observed the rest of the party and leaned back against the table satisfied with her view.
With the romantic sunset, the fun folks and the excellent choice of music and snacks, she knew for certain this party would be awesome. The honoured guests, Katara and Zuko, would thank all the people who organized this party when they would arrive; Katara would love the water and the almost dark sky, while Zuko would love the sun (what was left of it) and the bonfire situated at the centre which would be ignited when the sun had completely set.
Yes, she was glad when she admired the complete scenery. She raised her cup to proudly and officially announce the beginning of the Zutara shipbash!!
