HAHAHA Seems so! XD Katara=Kate Zuko=Sawyer Aang=Jack Katara's smarter choice would be Aang (Plus, it's so obvious!).

I've been watching Lost since day one and I honestly don't care. Either would be fine for the story. I told you I'm not a shipper, thought no one believes me ;0
P.S. I would love it if Zuko went around calling people corny nicknames though...

He's got that whole OMFG TTL LEDUR thing going on, not very appealing. Whereas Aang is just.... need I go on?

Aang is the best choice of course. If done well, no matter what path he takes, the outcome can be good for Aang and satisfying for the viewers.
Aang didn't have to see his attachment in peril to fulfill that purpose. A positive vision/illusion could have the same effect. It just depends on what it is. You can't disprove the possibility that it wasn't an illusion. It's possible each avatar saw something according to what would test their will in particular. For Aang it would be seeing katara in peril however, it was a coincidence that she really was in danger? I don't think so.
That could be it's slogan. Chose onion and banana juice, the drink that paves the way to nirvana. ;p

He was subconciously looking for an excuse not to take the next step, and lucky him, Katara was in danger. Jackpot! No, no, Boniona Juice!

Oh snap, LOST reference! The funny thing was that when I first started watching the show I was a Sawyer/Kate shipper and as of recently, I converted to Jack/Kate! (Just like my conversion from Zutara shipper at the beginning of my fandom dwelling to Kataang shipper once I started watching more of Avatar)
I don't really care all that much for shipping on LOST though. Kate could end up with Desmond or every guy on the Island for all I care or they could end up with random people once they leave the island if they ever do.
Right, on Kataang: I think I might make up a FST for the coupling. Unfortunately I have so many songs that remind me of these two that it's going to be hard picking which songs will stay on the fst and which ones will have to go. xD *music fiend*

Oh there are lots of songs that remind me of Kataang. Some are "fluffy", some aren't. That's the beauty of the ship - it's not just fluffy. It has the potential (especially as they age) to be passionate, dramatic, etc. I hate when people describe it as being just fluffy because it isn't just fluff. Look at the conflict now Aang is going through. That I think is going to add some real drama. The nice thing about Kataang, IMO, is that it still keeps Katara a bit to her age rather than aging her to the point where she's extremely sexual and almost too old and grown up. She is still a bit of a goof (the corny jokes, "water-bombing" Sokka without a care to the maps, laughing over the other Gaang members becoming hairballs).

@amira: That's the thing to love about kataang--it's like an all flavored ice-cream! (okay, maybe not every "flavor", but you get the point. Melis: most coupling songs I hear remind me of Kataang...prooving I've spent too much time here in the past. What song are you thinking of, exactly?

Yeah, there's more to Kataang than just the fluff. Every relationship has obstacles, no matter how "fluffy" it is.

Melis: Oh, a FST sounds quite awesome. I would recommend some Kataang songs for you but you probably already know what I would rec. @amira: I do love how multi-faced Kataang can be. It is quite adorable (“You mean all of you or just your neck? I mean, uh, both look great.”) but it does have potential for angst/drama/whatever. I mean, Aang’s love for Katara is the reincarnated love of his entire race and Katara is the only person who isn’t afraid of Aang’s Avatar State side. Like Liesl said, it's like an all flavored ice-cream. KrystalFruit22: Basically, you click “quote” on the posts with the fan works and copy and past the codes.
